Following a partnership with Adidas that began in 2020, LEGO has teamed up with Nike for a similar co-branded mix of new brick-built sets and lifestyle gear that includes sneakers. It all starts with a 1180-piece Nike Dunk LEGO set that features a sneaker set against the DUNK slogan with a basketball on the top left and a B’Ball head mini-figure included. Features include hidden stash compartments to store “championship rings and other essentials”, such as extra laces for custom color swap-outs. The Nike Dunk set (#43008) is a love letter to LEGO, sports, and sneaker culture – a much welcome collaboration between the fandoms. You can pre-order the set now here at the LEGO Store for $99.99 with a release date set for July 1st. LEGO notes that “the partnership brings together the “Just Do It” spirit of Nike with the imaginative power of LEGO bricks to invite all kids into sport and play. Over the upcoming months kids can enjoy the opportunity to engage in immersive experiences across different cities around the world, as well as a full collection of products, including LEGO sets and Nike footwear, apparel and accessories.” On the Nike side of things, look for the Nike Air Max Dn x LEGO Collection as well as a line of apparel and accessories to drop on August 1st, followed by the Nike Dunk Low x LEGO Collection on September 1st. LEGO has also announced that three-time WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson will support the Nike partnership by “helping to engage with kids through a reimagined world of play that will come to life across digital channels.” LEGO has promised that more information on this will be announced in the coming weeks.

“I have loved playing with LEGO bricks since I was a kid and know that my creativity and play helped me not only in sports but also at school and in life.” Wilson said in the LEGO press release. “I’m thrilled to be part of this partnership with Nike and the LEGO Group and know we can help to make a positive impact with kids and adults alike.”

During their livestream on May 29th, Hasbro finally took the wraps off the first wave of Marvel Legends figures inspired by Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Figures of Marvel’s Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, The Thing, Human Torch and Silver Surfer will debut on May 30th. That’s certainly interesting, but the big reveal for many will be the huge lineup of Gamerverse figures that are expected to launch in June and July. They aren’t explicitly based on Marvel vs Capcom video games, but the inspiration is clearly there. There’s Wolverine Vs Marvel’s Silver Samurai, Psylocke Vs. Thanos Gargantos, Juggernaut, and more! Here’s everything you need to know.

Spider-Man’s modern trusty side-kick is the Spider-Bot, a tiny robotic creature designed in the shape of a spider (to match the hero’s aesthetic, obviously) that can assist Spidey in his missions around New York and the world. The trusty Spider-Bot was first introduced in the comics back in 2010, in the issue The Amazing Spider-Man #650, and now the little assistant has shown up in video games (Marvel’s Spider-Man 2) and at the Disney theme parks (Avenger’s Campus’ WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure), cementing its space in Spider-Man history. Disney has provided fans with their own Spider-Bot assistant, in the past, and now they’ve added a Spider-Man 2099 edition to the collection. HeroQuest has been around since the ’90s, but was relaunched by Hasbro back in 2021. As part of the relaunch, backers got access to an exclusive, special Quest Pack designed by none other than actor and gamer Joe Manganiello. Today, Avalon Hill has officially announced that the once crowdfunding backer-exclusive Quest Pack has been reborn. Joe Manganiello’s The Crypt of Perpetual Darkness Quest Pack for HeroQuest will be available for all gamers to enjoy, re-released in a new Premium edition as an official expansion for HeroQuest. The Quest Pack arrives on July 15th, with pre-orders starting here on Amazon today, May 29th.

The beloved dungeon-crawling RPG board game HeroQuest has had quite a journey since its 1991 release. The game was discontinued a few years after launch, making it pretty hard to find for a while. But eventually, HeroQuest returned with Hasbro’s Avalon Hill, well known for Betrayal at House on the Hill and other iconic board games. Following a successful crowdfunding campaign, HeroQuest returned to gamers’ collections. And many gamers who backed that original 2020 campaign got an exciting bonus – a special Quest Pack designed by none other than Joe Manganiello himself.

During a recent Press Conference with Avalon Hill, I had the opportunity to hear Manganiello share the inspiration and creative process that brought The Crypt of Perpetual Darkness into existence. Manganiello loved HeroQuest as a kid, so bringing this tough adventure to fans was an opportunity he was happy to take advantage of. And gamers will no doubt be glad he did.

Fans of his work from playing Flash Thompson in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man on through recent roles such as Chrocodile in One Piece will be happy to know he infused some “Easter Eggs” from his life and work into the game, as well. One of the goblins in the game is based on his chihuahua, Bubbles. And for my fellow Pittsburgh locals, there’s even a Pittsburgh Easter Egg in a character based on an employee from the popular sandwich chain Primanti’s.

Along with these fun Easter Eggs, the new Quest Pack for HeroQuest features 10 different epic quests designed by Joe Manganiello. And according to what he shared during the Avalon Hill Press Conference, those adventures aren’t for the faint of heart. When asked about striking the balance between fun and tension in his adventure, Manganiello shared that he thinks “drama is best, in terms of gaming, when your players are scared… It means they’re invested. It means they’re paying attention. It means that every dice roll, they’re sweating.” He wanted to bring an advanced difficulty to the Quest Pack to conjure that feeling in players and to encourage players to work together as a team.

The Crypt of Perpetual Darkness will be a truly immersive Quest Pack expansion for HeroQuest, challenging and engaging players. It features 10 different quests for players to explore, each of them bringing a “borderline heavy meta aesthetic” to the TTRPG, as Manganiello puts it.

Throughout the ’90s and ’00s, there was no piece of merchandising you could think of that wasn’t emblazoned with your favorite character from The Simpsons. The Matt Groening creations had permeated all corners of pop culture, but despite their overall supremacy of consumer products, it wasn’t until 2014 that the family was translated into LEGO form, thanks to a set honoring their iconic abode. In 2015, LEGO released their take on the Kwik-E-Mart, and despite the sitcom continuing to dominate Sunday nights, the franchise failed to earn a follow-up set. Now, ten years later, LEGO is set to release the all-new The Simpsons: Krusty Burger set on June 1st, which has been so lovingly crafted that fans who have been waiting a decade for a new The Simpsons set will have all their patience pay off.

The Krusty Burger set contains 1,635 pieces and will take your average adult builder roughly six hours to complete. The set also contains seven minifigs, including Homer, Bart, Lisa, Farmer Krusty, Sideshow Bob, Squeaky-Voiced Teen, and Officer Lou. Much like how the series itself often feels timeless, the fast-food establishment will largely feel timeless, though it’s worth noting it is specifically a tribute to the Season 20 episode “Coming to Homerica,” in which Krusty introduced a vegetarian option, hence his farmer outfit. Even though there are specific references to this episode found throughout the set, there’s lots of evergreen jokes that fans of all Simpsons eras can appreciate.

On the positive side of the included minifigs, this is the first set to deliver tributes to Sideshow Bob, Officer Lou, and Squeaky-Voiced Teen, and given how beloved these characters are, it’s nice to see these staples of the show in LEGO form. On the downside, though, there is no Marge or Maggie minifigs, and with it being a decade since the last LEGO release and those sets selling for massive prices on secondary markets, some fans will be disappointed to not have the core members of the family.

The first part of the set that you’ll construct is a car adorned with various Krusty decorations, a reference to when Homer got a job as a Krusty impersonator and he transformed the family vehicle into a tribute to Krusty. Stickers are necessary to even replicate the “speed holes” found in the car’s hood, with the car also including various other deformations the Simpson sedan has acquired over the years.

After the construction of the car, you’ll move on to the actual building itself, starting with the drive-thru window and menu, as well as the bathroom. The bathroom itself is a great showcase for how much love went into designing this set and the jokes contained within it. Once the entire Krusty Burger is constructed, it’s hard to get a great look inside the bathroom, but as you build it, you’ll notice details like the water spilled out of the toilet and onto the floor to represent a plumbing issue and how the toilet paper roll is entirely empty, merely displaying the cardboard tube.

Bags 4 through 6 start to solidify the overall structure of the set, as you add features both to the interior and the exterior of the building. Details like the Krusty trash cans help keep the set on theme, while the architecture incorporates the series’ signature color scheme. Even if, from first glance, this set looks like it’s merely a building with four walls and a roof, there are key pivot points in the floor that allow the whole set to open up to inspect all corners of the Krusty Burger up close. Younger fans could engage and interact with the locale, but opening up the walls also allows older fans to be able to appreciate all corners of the diorama.

An interesting complication with this set as opposed to other brands that LEGO has explored is that the source material is two-dimensional. Even though we’re building it in three dimensions, the designers found a variety of ways to maintain the overall look of the animated series while also adding complexity to it. For example, the bushes that line the outside of the building could have been rendered through any number of three-dimensional building techniques, but it instead keeps the tone of the series intact by using broad, big shapes and by merely stacking these shapes on top of one another to create the necessary artistic depth. It’s a relatively innocuous decision by the designers, yet one that exemplifies LEGO’s devotion to the properties that adapt.

One thing fans should brace for is that, in order to deliver a variety of jokes and Easter eggs honoring the series, there’s a lot of stickers that you’ll need to apply to pieces, as those references are so obscure, LEGO couldn’t mass-produce these bricks. This isn’t inherently a drawback, as all of these jokes are well worth it, though builders who might not enjoy strategic sticker placement should at least be warned.

The interior construction continues with multiple booths, tables, food, and a ball pit, another item that is rendered in three dimensions despite only ever being 2D in the series. Subtle details like the food itself and the checkered floor highlight the exaggerated style of the series while still being true to the spirit of LEGO. It’s honestly surprising how accurate the Krusty burgers and the Ribwich look in LEGO form as compared to the series, especially given how they are made through familiar shapes found in other LEGO sets.

What makes building this set such a joy is that, for each item you construct, you don’t know whether it’s an accurate replica of the “real” Krusty Burger or if it’s just a small gag to make the scenery that much more hilarious. The deep fryer would be required for a kitchen, but a grease trap that’s overflowing onto the pavement is just a gag. A grill is necessary for Krusty Burger, yet it’s a chance to brand this specific grill after boxer Drederick Tatum. From the broken ice cream machine to a box full of coleslaw that expired in 1994, LEGO designers pack jokes into every nook and cranny of the set.

It will take you until bag 9 to finally get to close the hinges on the set to see the building in its full glory, while bags 10 and 11 contruct the roof. Luckily, rather than ending the build with a relatively mundane roof, bag 12 is the construction of the Krusty Burger sign that stands independently from the rest of the structure. By both starting and ending the set with complete structures, it makes for a great introduction and fulfilling conclusion to the entire experience.

As far as LEGO sets go in this price point, The Simpson: Krusty Burger might not be the flashiest structure and its scale might not be to the same massive stature as its peers, nor is the Krusty Burger necessarily as seminal within The Simpsons as the Simpson home or the Kwik-E-Mart. What it lacks in scale, however, it more than makes up for in loving references found within its walls and, with it being a decade since the last time LEGO honored The Simpsons, it would seem the LEGO designers have spent that time developing this set. The Simpsons fans of all ages will find something to appreciate about this set, as it’s just as fun to build as it is to discover all the hidden references and Easter eggs to the beloved franchise. These decks have a host of powerful cards at their command, including Tiana, Bruno Madrigal, Mulan, and everyone’s favorite blue alien troublemaker Stitch. ComicBook had the chance to put the new starter sets through their paces, and while there is one set that I tend to favor over the other, this is easily the best Lorcana starter deck combo in recent memory.

Before we get into the specifics of each starter set, let’s take a look at the franchises that are most heavily featured. Obviously, with Jafar being the marquee villain, there are some other Aladdin characters in the mix, but the set is more heavily made up of Encanto, Bambi, Mulan, and Lilo & Stitch. There’s also a healthy amount of other characters in the mix though, including Minnie Mouse, Clawhauser, Tiana, Friend Owl, Pinocchio, and Captain Hook. Now let’s get into the nitty gritty.

Reign of Jafar Amber / Amethyst Starter Deck

The Amber Amethyst deck didn’t take long to make an impression on me, as not only does it feature a host of Encanto characters, but it’s also a wonderful showcase for the singing mechanic and how useful and powerful it can be with the right combinations of cards.

This deck really hits its stride in the 3-cost range, as cards like Pepa Madrigal and Clawhauser will continue to pay off with useful abilities as the match goes on and you add more singing characters and actions to the mix. Clawhauser has the Bodyguard ability to protect other low-health characters, but he also counts as 4 towards singing songs and has 2 Quest to boot. Meanwhile, Pepa allows you to gain 1 lore whenever one or more of your characters sings a song. Having one of these characters on the board also allows you to use key actions like Trials and Tribulations and This Is My Family, which both cost 2 and allow you to hit an enemy character with -4 strength or gain 1 lore and draw a card, respectively.

The deck’s 4-range provides several tactical options, including bringing a 3-cost character into your hand when you sing a song (Antonio Madrigal), removing up to 3 damage and readying a character (Try Everything), getting +4 strength while challenging (Druun), or stopping an enemy character from readying next turn (Bruno Madrigal). You’ve also got Tiana, who not only counts as a cost 6 in singing songs, but then whenever you play a song, each opposing character gets -1 strength until the start of your next turn.

Singing and actions are also powerful moving into the late game, with Alma Madrigal and Bruno Madrigal’s Dual Ink cards providing welcome boosts to the characters on the field. Once per turn, Alma can ready characters whenever one or more of them sing a song, and as for Bruno (Singing Seer), whenever he sings a song, you may draw a card for each character you have in play. That leads us to the 9-cost Fantastical and Magical action and song, and if you can gather 9 total song cost to activate it, you can draw a card and gain 1 lore for each character that contributed to singing it. In the late game, that can be huge, so while it is a heavy cost, it could well be worth the price.

This set was simply a joy to play, and rewarded experimentation and changing up strategies on the fly. While it’s rare you’ll have many of these cards on the field of play at the same time, the changing combinations still felt powerful if you could adapt and apply resources in an efficient way. I also found myself using more of the higher-cost cards than I typically do in a starter set, simply because of how the cheaper cards directly boost or funnel into the higher-cost cards in the set, making patience and timing even more important.

Reign of Jafar Ruby / Steel Starter Deck

The Ruby Steel deck switches things up and takes a much stronger focus on challenges and manipulating the field of battle, and the contrast works extremely well compared to the song and action-focused Amber and Amethyst starter deck. While the 3-cost range is strong, it’s actually the 1, 2, and 4-cost ranges that stand out the most in this deck, allowing players to get more characters into the action early and then boost their forces in the mid-range game.

Depending on how things shake out in terms of your opening hand, you will have two fantastic characters to choose from in the early turns, including Captain Hook and Mulan (Disguised Soldier). Both only cost 1 ink, and while Captain Hook gets a +2 Strength when challenging, Mulan allows you to draw a card and then discard a card when played. Later turns will be a perfect time to use 1-cost options like Light The Fuse and The Sword of Shan-Yu. Light The Fuse lets you deal 1 damage to a chosen character for each exerted character you have in play, while The Sword of Shan-Yu has you exert a character to then ready another chosen character. With their low cost, these become evergreen options for the whole game.

The 2-cost range is great as well, featuring cards like Grandmother Fa, which not only has 2 Quest attached, but questing with that card also allows you to give a chosen character of yours +2 strength. The Quick Shot action is also useful, dealing 1 damage to a character and allowing you to draw a card, and Thumber then gives a chosen character +3 strength on your turn.

The 3 and 4-cost range offers some of the most exciting cards in the deck, though, starting with Prince John’s rather incredible 5 strength and 5 willpower. He does take 1 damage when an opponent plays a character, but it’s still immensely worth playing him, even if he only lasts 2 turns. The Matchmaker is useful as well, removing a lore from an opponent whenever she challenges another character, and then Stitch (Alien Troublmaker) allows you to draw a card and gain 1 lore whenever he banishes another character in a challenge. As for Mulan (Charging Ahead), not only does she have evasive, but she can also challenge ready characters.

As for the high-cost tier, there’s the 6-cost Mushu (Your Worst Nightmare) is a brilliant addition, as whenever you play another character, he gives them Rush, Reckless, and Evasive during that turn, and that’s on top of his 2 Quest on his own. There’s also Atitaya, who comes in with 7 and 7 and boasts 3 Quest, balancing out the 7 cost. There’s also the possibly battlefield-shaking Beyond the Horizon, which costs 7 and, in the right instance, can really shift the game to your advantage. If you can pay for it or sing it, you can choose any number of players and they have to discard their hands and draw 3 cards each, throwing anyone’s strategy out of the window in an instant.

While a Challenge-heavy deck isn’t my preferred style, I found myself really enjoying the mix of options in this deck and how that affects your approach to battles. Do you remove some strength from an opponent so your bodyguard takes less damage and can hit back hard next turn, or give your forces a welcome boost across the board and hit your enemy’s frontlines with volume instead? The rest of the deck also has ways to get a Lore bonus once banished or add some defense to your heroes, and the amount of tactical options at your disposal keeps the challenge-focused gameplay from getting repetitive.

The Final Verdict

Overall, both starter sets are incredibly strong, and both feel fun to play and more rewarding as you learn the rhythm of that particular playstyle and learn the ins and outs of the cards themselves. While I definitely favor the Amber and Amethyst deck, I still enjoyed Ruby Steel immensely, and whether you’re a longtime fan or just jumping in, I think the Reign of Jafar starter sets are some of the strongest in the game to date, and it will not be leaving my Lorcana rotation anytime soon.

If you haven’t had the chance to play Stellar Blade but are playing via Steam next month, PC players are in luck thanks to a new sale. With the upcoming release of the 2024 cybernetic action title on Steam on June 11th, the game has already been given a reasonable discount. Launching last year, Stellar Blade made waves on PlayStation 5 as an exclusive, with many enjoying its intense combat and impressive visuals. While it did stir up some controversy regarding its main character, the reception of the title was enough to warrant some major award nominations. Therefore, this deal is sure to be a big steal for those who want to jump in, especially with the surprise sequel coming soon.

Stellar Blade, for those who don’t know, is an action title from Shift Up, a South Korean studio known for Goddess of Victory: Nikke. You play as Eve, a freedom fighter sent to Earth to fight the Naytibas, an alien race hellbent on destroying the human race. Through hack-and-slash gameplay similar to Bayonetta and Nier: Automata, you’ll slay whatever comes your way and save the remaining humans in the Colony. In our review of the title, which we gave a 4 out of 5, we said, “…Stellar Blade boasts some surprisingly involved combat systems and fantastic creature designs all in a relatively compact experience.” Now, with its big release on PC, Fanatical has a great offer on the title that you won’t want to miss.

Stellar Blade is 10% Off Ahead of PC Release

Ahead of its June 11th release date, the Standard Edition of Stellar Blade is currently being priced at $53.99, a 10% discount compared to the normal $59.99 price it’ll go for at launch. Furthermore, the 10% discount applies to the title’s Complete Edition, lowering the price from $79.99 to $71.99. You can check out the deal on Fanatical linked here. The discount is only available for the Steam versions of the game, so PlayStation fans won’t be able to take advantage of the deal. Also, while there isn’t any deadline as to when Fanatical’s deal on Stellar Blade will end, it seems likely that it will just be until release, so those interested should take advantage as soon as they can.

The PC version of Stellar Blade had been set up to be announced for quite a while, first surfacing from a financial filing last year. It was officially confirmed in November 2024, and has just recently received its June 11th release after a trailer leaked online with the date and additions. Differing from the PlayStation version, the PC version will have AI upscaling, unlocked frame rate, 25 brand new costumes, and an entirely new boss battle. In addition, those who purchase the Complete Edition will get the Nier: Automata DLC and Goddess of Victory: Nikke DLC. With the sequel recently hinted at releasing before 2027, there may not be a better time to join Eve in her fight for humanity than now.

Live-Action Lilo & Stitch Hits Theaters With New Merch

Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch opened in theaters this past weekend, and it’s already breaking box office records. With the help of Tom Cruise’s franchise-ending Mission Impossible – The Final Reckoning, the two films combined accomplished the biggest Memorial Day haul of all time, bringing in $322+ million domestically. That’s a lot of people who went to see the adorable alien this weekend. And what better way to celebrate a new movie obsession than with some new merch? One of our favorites is listed below.

James Gunn’s first entry into the new DC Studios line-up, Superman, is set to burst into theaters on July 11th 2025, but not without some super Funko Pop figures. As you have probably noticed, the film is stacked with characters, and this second wave of Pops fills in a lot of the gaps left by wave 1. Comicbook has your first official look at these figures, and you can check them out below!

It all starts with the Superman and Fortress of Solitude Pop Moment and the Metamorpho with Baby Joey Pop & Buddy. You’ll also find a Pop Plus of the Engineer. The first wave of Pops from the new Superman film was released on April 18th and featured a total of 5 Pop figures. That included a 10-inch Jumbo Superman, Krypto, Lois Lane, Lex Luthor, and a standard Superman in both Pop figure and Keychain form. Written and directed by Gunn, Superman stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent, the Superman himself, opposite Rachel Brosnahan as intrepid reporter Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as the Man of Steel’s archnemesis, Lex Luthor. LEGO’s Summer 2025 lineup kicks off on June 1st, and there are dozens of new sets up for grabs with highlights that include The Simpsons: Krusty Burger set, Minifigure Vending Machine, Fantastic Four vs. Galactus, the first Bluey wave, and Book Nooks for Harry Potter, Sherlock Holmes, and LOTR to name a few. There’s no shortage of Harry Potter LEGO sets out there for fans, as the first tribute to the Wizarding World was released in 2001 to coincide with the release of the first movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. As the Wizarding World continues to expand, LEGO sets have honored all corners of the franchise, with LEGO’s recent initiative being to revisit the iconic location of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. We’ve gotten a number of sets replicating the school in a variety of scales, but kicking off with The Great Hall in June 2024, LEGO is making the scale even larger and more immersive for important alcoves in the castle. The latest expansion of Hogwarts, Hogwarts Castle: The Main Tower (#76454), brings to life locations and scenes from the original movie with a build that’s just as exciting to engage with as it is to put together.

Coming in at a staggering 2,135 pieces, The Main Tower is a monster of a set, which will take your average adult builder 6-7 hours to complete. Confirming how this set is meant to be played with by younger fans, you’ll receive 12 minifigs, including Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Neville Longbottom, Professor Kettleburn, Nearly Headless Nick, Albus Dumbledore, and other Hogwarts students. The set also includes animal companions such as Fluffy, Hedwig, and Fawkes.

The first three bags in the set help establish the overall footprint of the set, though it offers a lot more than merely creating the set’s foundation. Those first three bags contain minifigs of Harry, Ron, and Hermione, with each bag offering a complete build of rooms from the finale of Sorcerer’s Stone. You’ll get to build Harry’s pursuit of flying keys, Ron playing Wizard’s Chess, and Hermione becoming ensnared in vines. By getting started with three separate, complete builds, it makes for a satisfying start to the overall project, as other large sets might spend the initial bags crafting an ambiguous infrastructure.

Each room feels detailed enough that they could be smaller sets on their own, so knocking out three in a row could be a bit overwhelming for younger fans. However, it makes for an organic pause point where, once they are built, fans can already start playing with these iconic locales.

Bags 4 through 8 end up expanding on those three complete rooms to construct the rest of the main floors of this tower, which also includes Fluffy and his room. While Fluffy is a fan-favorite character in Sorcerer’s Stone, he somehow looks even more adorable in LEGO form than he does in the movies. Fluffy also stands upon a trap door that opens up into the vines Hermione falls into, with there being a clever integration of how a vine mechanism opens and closes to replicate the wizards falling through the floor.

Bags 9 through 11 construct the Gryffindor common room, complete with banners, beds, and chairs to lounge in. Even though the room might not be nearly as detailed and intricate as other sections of the set, this section manages to effectively evoke the vibe of the room without having to be overly complex. The highlight of this section is easily the “Fat Lady” portrait that separates the common room from the stairwell. As any fan of the Wizarding World series can tell you, the various hidden passageways and secrets contained in Hogwarts are what make the location so exciting to imagine visiting, with this passageway honoring that intrigue of the locale. LEGO could have taken the easy route to create this transition, but made sure to honor the source material.

Bags 12 through 16 help construct arguably the most recognizable component of the Main Tower, which is the moving stairwell. Much like the Gryffindor common room, to fully replicate the complete details of this location would be next to impossible, but LEGO manages to boil down the essence of the location to deliver exactly what fans need to convey the spirit of the stairwell. We might only get three sets of stairs as compared to the dozens in Hogwarts, though the ways in which they spin and rotate, along with the multiple portraits adorning the walls, authentically convey the spirit of the moving stairwell.

At the top of the stairwell is Dumbledore’s office, which, as has become the theme of the overall set, honors the key components of the office even without exhaustive detail. From the Sorting Hat to the Pensieve to the Sword of Gryffindor, the decor in the office isn’t just generic wizarding items. Above his office, bags 20 and 21 construct the attic and the roof of the tower. Making this section more exciting is that you also get to create the Mirror of Erised, which shows someone the “deepest, most desperate desire of our hearts.” In this case, you get stickers to show Harry alone on one side, only to rotate to show Harry with his parents. Capping off the build with one of the more emotional items in the Wizarding World means that the entire structure concludes with a more significant relic that audiences and builders will connect with.

For fans who have already constructed last year’s The Great Hall set, this The Main Tower set can be connected to help immerse yourself in the major scale of this new Hogwarts initiative. Between the trap doors, moving stairwells, the dozen minifigs, and removable bottom floors, The Main Tower will appeal not only to older builders who appreciate the devotion to details, but will be far more than just a display piece once completed, as younger fans can dive into every corner to replicate iconic moments from the adventure. LEGO continues to outdo itself, even when putting fresh spins on iconic locations, and Hogwarts Castle: The Main Tower is no exception. The Last of Us Season 2 is in the books, and it included some pretty shocking moments for anyone who wasn’t familiar with the games. Following the release of the LEGO The Lord of the Rings: The Shire (10354) set and a flurry of book nook debuts for June 1st 2025 that include Harry Potter and Sherlock Holmes themes, LEGO has officially unveiled the brick-built book nook to rule them all. The LEGO Icons The Lord of the Rings: Balrog Book Nook (10367) has been officially unveiled that depicts Gandalf’s epic battle with the Balrog on the Bridge of Khazad-dûm in 1012 pieces.

Pre-orders for the LEGO LOTR Balrog Book Nook are available starting today, May 27th right here at the LEGO Shop priced at $129.99 It will officially launch on June 1st at 9pm PT / 12am ET along with a huge collection of other new sets for Summer 2025. Additional details about the LOTR set can be found below along with a gallery of images.

The set is inspired by Peter Jackson’s LOTR film trilogy and includes a Balrog figure with its wings unfurled in front of a wall of flames. It brandishes a fiery whip against the Gandalf the Grey minifigure, who comes with a staff and sword. There’s even a plaque with the famous quote ‘You Shall Not Pass’. The set can be displayed open, or you can close it up and place it between the Tolkien books on your bookshelf for a whimsical window into Middle-earth.

The majority of LEGO sets for June 2025 will be available to order starting on May 31st / June 1st at 9pm PT / 12am ET right here at the LEGO Shop. For Superman Day 2025 back in April, McFarlane Toys debuted a collection of DC Multiverse figures inspired by James Gunn’s upcoming Superman film, which hits theaters on July 11th. Now it looks like a second wave will debut on May 28th. At the time of this update, a Deluxe Theatrical Edition Lex Luthor is confirmed for the drop, though we expect that additional figures will be part of the collection. Here’s what we know…

Back in April, Lex Luthor, Mr. Terrific, and Robot #4 figures were unveiled with a release date expected sometime in June. With the Lex Luthor figure coming a bit early, it’s possible that the other figures will arrive on May 28th as well. Furthermore, it’s only a matter of time before McFarlane releases a figure based on the mysterious main villain in the film as it has already been confirmed through various leaks and might already be on shelves at some big box stores. (SPOILER incoming…) so we could be surprised with an Ultraman figure as well. UPDATE: Ultraman figure confirmed along with your first look at Baby Joey and Baby Kaiju – see teaser images in the gallery below. There are also new Super Powers figures and vehicles.

Pre-orders for Superman (2025) Wave 2 are expected to be available starting at 9am ET / 12pm ET on May 28th here at Entertainment Earth and here on Amazon unless otherwise indicated. Giant-Sized Stitch Plush

Now, there’s plush, and then there’s Giant Plush, and there are two great options for fans. First, let’s look at the Giant Disney Stitch Plush from Build-A-Bear, which doesn’t have a specific size listed, but looking at some of the review photos appears to be around 2 and a half feet tall. Blind box figures continue to be super collectible, and there are a host of Stitch figures you can track down to add to your collection. One of my favorites is the Pop Mart Little Emotions Stitch Figures, which stand at 3.54 inches and feature a number of delightful expressions. Now, while this doesn’t exactly fit the toys and collectibles category, I still wanted to highlight something Stitch fans will love, especially if they want to add some Stitch decor to their rooms and offices. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning arrives in theaters today, May 23rd and, as is the custom in Hollywood these days, pre-orders for the Blu-rays have arrived along with it. The film will be available in standard 4K Blu-ray, Steelbook 4K Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD flavors and, presumably, this round will complete your Mission Impossible collection. Tom Cruise recently confirmed as much to The Hollywood Reporter, saying “It’s the final! It’s not called ‘final’ for nothing.” Though, he also noted that he “will never stop” making movies, and we all know what happened after Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade, so we shall see if this is truly the last mission for Ethan Hunt.

At the time of writing, pre-orders for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning are available here on Amazon and here at Walmart, though the cover art for the Steelbook edition hasn’t been revealed thus far. We also don’ have information on a release date or special features, though they should be available in the coming weeks. That said, you won’t be charged for your pre-orders until they ship.

So far, the film is generating rave reviews from critics and audiences, holding an 80% and 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. So, at the very least, it looks like it will be a fun way to spend 3 hours of your time. It will also tie up some loose ends, so longtime fans will finally get some answers to the franchise’s biggest mysteries.

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is poised to resolve the high-stakes narrative centered on the rogue artificial intelligence known as the Entity, which was introduced as the primary antagonist in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. Following the dramatic events of the previous film, this final installment will see Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team in their most critical race against time. Key returning cast members include Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Ethan’s loyal tech expert and the only other actor to appear in every Mission: Impossible film alongside Cruise. Simon Pegg also returns as the indispensable field agent Benji Dunn and Hayley Atwell will reprise her role as Grace, the skilled operative whose loyalties were ambiguous in Dead Reckoning Part One.

Star Wars Day 2025 passed earlier this month, and it included a ton of new lightsaber hilt releases at The Disney Store. However, if you still have room in your collection several popular hilts have been restocked after a long absence. The most interesting of these, definitely for those of us who went and saw Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith in theaters recently, is the Anakin (Jedi Apprentice) Lightsaber Hilt, a fantastic and detailed remake of the Padawan’s weapon. Cal Kestis’ Jedi Survivor lightsaber is also back and it includes a color changing feature that can switch the blade from blue, red, green, purple, yellow, and white. Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that the iconic ’80s Knight Rider series starring David Hasselhoff will finally arrive on 4K Blu-ray this year. Details are scarce at this point, but look for pre-orders to arrive here on Amazon in the coming weeks. What we know about the release can be found below, and make sure to check out the Photoshop job they did making Hasslehoff’s face more visible through K.I.T.T’s windshield *chef’s kiss*.

According to the Instagram post below, the Knight Rider 4K Blu-ray box set will launch at some point in October. We expect that pre-orders will be available soon. Avalon Hill’s Betrayal at House on the Hill is one of the most popular tabletop games around, bringing an accessible horror touch to game night. The game launched its 3rd edition in 2022, improving the visuals and increasing the number of Haunts available. Now, Betrayal at House on the Hill is getting even scarier thanks to a newly revealed collab expansion featuring Pennywise from Stephen King’s IT. The new expansion, designed for the 3rd edition, will add new terrifying dimensions to the game when it arrives on August 1st.

Betrayal at House on the Hill originally launched in 2004 and has received several updates since then, bringing it to its current 3rd edition. The popular game challenges players to build the map as they go, drawing tiles to explore the House on the Hill until they trigger the Haunt. Then, gamers enter any number of in-game scenarios based on the circumstances that triggered the Haunt. Because the game’s map and rules are different each time you play, it’s stood the test of time. But that doesn’t mean players aren’t excited to see something new to add even more replayability to Betrayal.

In a May 21st press conference, the team at Avalon Hill officially revealed the new Betrayal at the Neibolt House: The Evil of Pennywise expansion for Betrayal at House on the Hill: 3rd Edition. The new expansion will feature horrifying minis of iconic Stephen King characters from IT, naturally including Pennywise himself. It is set to launch on August 1st, giving gamers just enough time to grab the new expansion ahead of their spooky season game night.

What To Expect from Betrayal at the Neibolt House: The Evil of Pennywise

The expansion is inspired by It: Chapter Two and brings in three unique miniatures, new rooms, and new items and characters. Players will settle into the town of Derry and experience one of five new, unique Haunts featured in the expansion. Gamers could find themselves in the role of It or several other characters from Stephen King’s iconic horror story.

The new Betrayal at Neibolt House: The Evil of Pennywise expansion for Betrayal at House on the Hill: 3rd Edition arrives on August 1st. Betrayal at the Neibolt House: The Evil of Pennywise will be the third full expansion for Betrayal at House on the Hill: 3rd Edition, following The Werewolf’s Journey: Blood on the Moon and Evil Reigns in the Wynter’s Pale: The Yuletide Tale. All expansions require the 3rd edition base game to play and add their own unique flavor to the experience.

Back in March, Hasbro dug deep into the ’80s with this figure of Richard “Crystal Ball” King – Cobra’s Rasputin-like mystic with the power to manipulate minds. It sold out quickly as a Walmart Collector Con exclusive, but you have a second chance to pre-order one here at Walmart for $24.82. It probably won’t last long. G.I. Joe fan or not, you have to admit that this G.I. Joe Classified figure looks awesome, and it comes with an interesting backstory.

The character of Richard “Crystal Ball ” King was developed because Stephen King’s son Owen was a huge G.I. Joe fan and wanted a magician on the team. Stephen King himself created the character with input from Owen. What’s more, Crystal Ball is said to be a seventh son of a seventh son, which just happens to be the title of an Iron Maiden album that came out in 1988 – right around the time that the character was created. Finally, you may have noticed the Vincent Price-like visage on the character. It’s no coincidence.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly back in 2017 for their collaboration on the book Sleeping Beauties, Stephen and Owen King confirmed the G.I. Joe story, noting the following about the development of the Crystal Ball character:

“It’s true,” Owen says, sounding a little bit chagrined, and handing the credit (or blame) off to his dad. “I think that he’s much better suited to explain because, I think my contribution to the creative element was more limited to being like, ‘Yeah, Dad, that sounds awesome.’”

“Oh, I mean that is such bulls—,” Stephen King replies. “It was his idea! He had all the G.I. Joes and we watched it on TV, and we read the comic books.”

Owen went on to explain his reluctance to talk about the character because he thought “G.I. Joe people don’t really like him”, and that may have been true at the time. However, this new version is one of the coolest figures we’ve seen in the G.I. Joe Classified lineup to date. If you agree, read on to find out how to get one for yourself.

While the halfway to Halloween Funkoween event isn’t officially celebrated these days, Funko has been quietly releasing Pops this month for horror fans. This week brings us 4 new Funko Pops from two very different horror entries, 1981’s An American Werewolf in London and SyFy’s 2021 Chucky, the TV series. Chucky Deserves Some Respect

In the horror community, Chucky can sometimes be ignored or pushed to the side as a comic relief killer, only made of up gags and goofy kills. But I disagree! Chucky is more than just a joke, having scared many for decades since he first arrived. Comicbook’s own Ben Hathaway discussed recently what makes Chucky such an iconic horror villain. While unfortunately often overlooked as a lesser horror killer, Hathaway argues that Chucky is the only one who’s moved from movies to TV so easily, proof of his ability to reach a wider audience and say something deeper than just gorey, goofy kills.

“Both Freddy and Jason had television series in the ’80s. And, while neither was critically reviled, neither was a runaway success, either. Not to mention, when it came to Friday the 13th: The Series, the Jason-less project wasn’t even that much of a success with the franchise’s fans.

Chucky was on a higher plane. It functioned as an elongated continuation of Curse and Cult, retaining those films’ tone as well as their most important character: Nica. No slasher IP besides Child’s Play has continued its franchise’s narrative directly via television (not even 2015’s Scream show), and outside of its surprisingly PC storytelling, that’s largely due to just how captivating Chucky’s horrendous personality is. He’s layered, even if most of those layers smell like rotten eggs. Though it was sadly cancelled after Season 3, series mastermind Don Mancini has promised we’ve yet to see the last of Chuck.”

And there you have it. Chucky’s layers are continuous and that’s why he can carry an entire TV show for 3 seasons in a time when the media landscape is more competitive than ever.

Toy Story 5 News

Toy Story 5 is confirmed and set to be released in theaters next summer. Unfortunately, we don’t have much information on the plot of the film, other than that  it will revolve around the toys trying to get the attention of Bonnie and the other kids in the face of “evolving technology.” With the film set to release on June 19th, 2026, production on Toy Story 5 is well underway. Back in December, Tim Allen spoke to Collider and shared how impressed he was by the new movie’s story. Now well into making the movie, Allen shared his thoughts on the integrity and creativity of the latest Toy Story endeavor. 

“It’s a very, very clever story … I don’t really believe it’s about the money,” he said. “I’m sure they want it to be a success, but that’s not why they did it. Had they not come up with a brilliant script, they wouldn’t have done it and they wouldn’t have called me and Tom [Hanks].”

Toy Story 5 is set to hit theaters on June 19, 2026.

After inking an agreement with Hasbro last year, the Playmates era of Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers figures in nigh. Playmates revealed details on the wave of Re-Ignition figures earlier this year, but additional information and images have just been unveiled along with the first pre-orders. Everything you need to know can be found below.

At the time of writing, pre-orders for Playmates Toys Re-Ignition Auto-Morphin figures for the Red Ranger, Pink Ranger, Black Ranger, Blue Ranger, and Yellow Ranger have launched, and the packaging reveals that figures of Rita Repulsa, Goldar, and Putty Patroller are on the way in addition to the previously announced Green Ranger. They also appear to be roughly 4.75-inches tall with basic articulation.

These pre-orders have launched early at UK retailer Merchoid priced at $29.99 each with a release date set for October 2025. This price includes all taxes and shipping (and possibly tariff charges), but it’s important to point out that these figures were originally revealed to be priced at $9.99 each, though that might also change before the release this Fall thanks to tariff issues. That said, we should see pre-orders go live at some point in the coming months in the States at retailers like Amazon at a more reasonable price. Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma 2 arrived in 2024 as the highly anticipated follow-up to the original Dragon’s Dogma. With nearly a 10-year gap between them, fans were eager to see the next entry in the series. Although the game has a somewhat Mixed rating on Steam, many fans of the series say it’s a great follow-up, offering enjoyable gameplay that makes players work to earn their progress. When you think of movies in desperate need of restoration and a full 4K treatment, you don’t often think of films that arrived in the last 25 years. To be clear, almost any film that has been released could use some sort of restoration, some just need it more than others. And there are few mainstream movies from the 2000s that have needed one as badly as A Knight’s Tale.

Even though it was released in the 21st century, A Knight’s Tale is a unique situation in that its previous physical releases sincerely hurt its quality. The Blu-ray edition of A Knight’s Tale was a notoriously bad release, compressing the film and layering all kinds of unnecessary edits on top of the picture. The colors were altered, the edges were smoothed, and a lot of detail was lost in the process. The Blu-ray has been a thorn in the side of the film’s fans for quite a while, but Sony has finally come to the rescue with the 4K we’ve all been asking for.

Sony’s 4K Steelbook release of A Knight’s Tale arrived on Tuesday and it takes just a few seconds of the movie to show fans that this is the version worth owning. The color is back! It doesn’t pop like some other movies but that’s the thing — it shouldn’t. A Knight’s Tale has a very muted, earthy color palette, creating a lived-in feel for a rags to riches tale. The Blu-ray tried to spice up a purposeful style and, understandably, failed. This new 2160p remaster goes back to the roots and actually delivers the film as it was always meant to be seen.

The new Dolby Atmos track is also fantastic, cleaning up the dialogue and honing in on so many of the small sounds that populate the tournaments. The surround sound wasn’t exactly as immersive as I had expected going in, but the track still fully utilizes the space it has and doesn’t disappoint.

The special features on A Knight’s Tale are pretty standard for this era of film, but there’s a couple of major wins here that need to celebrated. Not only does this release of A Knight’s Tale include both the theatrical and extended versions of the movie, but the included Blu-ray disc (which has also been remastered and is far better than the previous Blu-ray release) also contains a series of deleted and extended scenes from the film’s dailies. This isn’t a massive feature, but it’s one of the few times recently that a major studio has included a brand new feature on a 4K release. Most of the time, these studio releases contain previous features only, leaving new features up to boutique labels like Criterion or Arrow. Seeing Sony add on something new for A Knight’s Tale is a great step towards more bonus content on these discs, which is something physical media collectors have been begging for.

A Knight’s Tale is a great movie that as long deserved a great physical media release. Finally, 24 years after debuting in theaters, it has one. You can snag your own copy here.

There will be a ton of LEGO sets launching on June 1st, but one of the most fun will undoubtedly be the LEGO Ideas Minifigure Vending Machine (21358).In 1,343 pieces you’ll be able to construct a retro-style vending machine similar to the ones you might have found in the arcade or in the entrance of a grocery store back in the day. Only this brick-built vending machine gives you something great every time.

But I wasn’t sure if the dispensing mechanism would really work, so I spent about two months testing and refining the design with actual LEGO bricks. I even took apart my old vending machine to understand the mechanics and make it work, and I’m so proud of the final product”.

The live-action Lilo & Stitch will be released exclusively in theaters on May 23, 2025. It will see franchise co-creator Chris Sanders return as the voice of Stitch, with new cast members including Maia Kealoha as Lilo Pelekai, Sydney Agudong as Nani Pelekai, Kaipo Dudoit as David Kawena, Courtney B. Vance as Cobra Bubbles, Zach Galifianakis as Dr. Jumba Jookiba, and Billy Magnussen as Agent Pleakley. Tia Carrere and Jason Scott Lee, who voiced Nani and David in the original film, will also be returning in new roles.

Lilo & Stitch follows the bond formed between a lonely human girl named Lilo and a dog-like alien named Stitch, who was genetically engineered to be a force of destruction. With nosy social workers and pursuing aliens banging on the door, the two bonded over a shared sense of family and win the day. The project will be directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, who helmed the Oscar-nominated Marcel the Shell With Shoes On. Chris Kekaniokalani Bright wrote the script. Producers in the project will include Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, with Ryan Halprin executive producing.

For fans of the legendary actor Heath Ledger (pretty much everyone), we’ve got some fantastic news. Back in March, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment announced that a new 4K UHD Blu-ray steelbook will be released for the popular action-adventure film, A Knight’s Tale (2001). The steelbook will include new, never-before-seen content like deleted scenes, extended scenes, a gag reel, and more, as well as completely restored versions of both the Theatrical and Extended versions of the film. Now the wait to watch it is at an end.

The steelbook is available to order here on Amazon with a release date set for May 20th. A listing is also available here at Walmart, but it is currently sold out. Back in February, Hasbro launched a huge Marvel Legends Gamerverse drop with figures inspired by Sony’s Spider-Man video game franchise. The wave includes figures of Peter Parker in his Black Suit and Anti-Venom Suit, Miles Morales in his Upgraded Suit, Boricua Suit, and Brooklyn 2099 Suit, and Black Cat Felicia Hardy. To top it all off, there was a deluxe Marvel Legends Series Gamerverse Venom that towers over the other figures. Originally expected in June, the figures are now set to be released on Amazon on May 17th, and you can get your orders in via the links below. However, tariff surcharges have been added to a few of the figures apparently, so it was best if you pre-ordered early.

McFarlane Toys has yet again gone above and beyond for their Spawn collectibles. A few weeks back the company released this GameStop Exclusive Gold Label Spawn the Bloodaxe Action Figure Set, which featured two 7-inch scale collectible figures of Spawn the Bloodaxe and his hellish horse from the pages of Spawn: The Dark Ages. Now, McFarlane Toys is offering an alternate figure set that features a darker color palette. While the GameStop Exclusive was a Gold Label McFarlane set, this new one is a general release that can be found at several retailers. Note that both include a digital collectible. Everything is about to get fantastic for Marvel fans! Well, it would be better if we could stretch or become invisible. We might need to take bursting into flames into more consideration. It all starts with Funko’s latest drop, which is inspired by the upcoming Marvel Studios film The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and you’re getting your first official look here at ComicBook! What’s more, there’s a (small) spoiler in the wave that will be very interesting for the MCU moving forward.

Marvel’s latest attempt at bringing the original super-powered family to the big screen aims to break the MCU’s yo-yo between duds and successes. With Thunderbolts* earning a Rotten Tomatoes score of 88%, it’s now up to Fantastic Four to keep the success going, and a new wave of Funko Pops is sure to help. The wave includes Mr. Fantastic, Human Torch, and The Thing of course, but it also includes Silver Surfer and a super-sized Galactus. However, the really interesting Pop in this wave is The Invisible Woman (with Franklin) Pop & Buddy.

The trailer for Fantastic Four: First Steps revealed that Sue Storm is pregnant in the film, and one would assume that it would be with Franklin Richards. However, the Pop & Buddy figure shows that he will actually be born in the movie and presumably take his…first steps toward becoming one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Universe. What’s Next for One Piece?

Now that the anime has returned, the next question on everyone’s mind is: where will we go next? The latest One Piece episode recapped everything to get everyone up to speed before diving into the next big flashback arc, and even though it wasn’t the most loved, I do think it was necessary. Now that we’re taking a step away from current Egghead action, the anime will dig through Kuma and Bonney’s backstories, a needed divergence for the anime-only fans. Hopefully this moment will finally fill in some pieces of the puzzle. 

The last episode primarily recounted all the crucial scenes regarding Kuma and Bonney. Ever since her father became a Pacifista, she has been trying to save him and find Vegapunk. The World Government had confirmed that Kuma voluntarily became a human weapon, but Bonney refused to believe her father would decide to leave her. However, after arriving in Egghead, she finally learned the truth about Kuma. It seems all but 100% confirmed that the World Government was responsible for his tragedy. Kuma’s and Bonney’s backstory is a crucial part of the coming arc, and it’ll answer a lot of the questions about a certain major incident that we know changed the world. DOOM: The Dark Ages follows the 2020 release of DOOM Eternal, though the events of the game take place before those in DOOM (2016), and are said to provide an “origin story to the Doom Slayer’s rage”. With new mechanics and a large cinematic campaign, it’s an ambitious new installment from id Software for sure, but the reviews so far indicate that they are pulling it off. DOOM: The Dark Ages is available on PC, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5 for $69.99, but if you’re a Game Pass subscriber, you can play the title for no extra charge.

LEGO and Nintendo added the first Mario Kart sets to the Super Mario lineup in January, and followed that up with the LEGO Mario Kart Standard Kart set (72037) for Mario Day (MAR10 Day) 2025. It will showcase a brick-build Mario and Kart in 1,972 pieces, and your chance to build it starts today, May 15th. What’s more, LEGO is sweetening the deal with the Mario Kart Spiny Shell (40787) set as an Insiders reward. Here’s everything you need to know.

The Mario Kart Standard Kart set officially launched this morning here at the LEGO Shop priced at $169.99.
