If you haven’t had the chance to play Stellar Blade but are playing via Steam next month, PC players are in luck thanks to a new sale. With the upcoming release of the 2024 cybernetic action title on Steam on June 11th, the game has already been given a reasonable discount. Launching last year, Stellar Blade made waves on PlayStation 5 as an exclusive, with many enjoying its intense combat and impressive visuals. While it did stir up some controversy regarding its main character, the reception of the title was enough to warrant some major award nominations. Therefore, this deal is sure to be a big steal for those who want to jump in, especially with the surprise sequel coming soon.

Stellar Blade, for those who don’t know, is an action title from Shift Up, a South Korean studio known for Goddess of Victory: Nikke. You play as Eve, a freedom fighter sent to Earth to fight the Naytibas, an alien race hellbent on destroying the human race. Through hack-and-slash gameplay similar to Bayonetta and Nier: Automata, you’ll slay whatever comes your way and save the remaining humans in the Colony. In our review of the title, which we gave a 4 out of 5, we said, “…Stellar Blade boasts some surprisingly involved combat systems and fantastic creature designs all in a relatively compact experience.” Now, with its big release on PC, Fanatical has a great offer on the title that you won’t want to miss.

Stellar Blade is 10% Off Ahead of PC Release

Stellar Blade is discounted ahead of June 11th’s PC release.

Ahead of its June 11th release date, the Standard Edition of Stellar Blade is currently being priced at $53.99, a 10% discount compared to the normal $59.99 price it’ll go for at launch. Furthermore, the 10% discount applies to the title’s Complete Edition, lowering the price from $79.99 to $71.99. You can check out the deal on Fanatical linked here. The discount is only available for the Steam versions of the game, so PlayStation fans won’t be able to take advantage of the deal. Also, while there isn’t any deadline as to when Fanatical’s deal on Stellar Blade will end, it seems likely that it will just be until release, so those interested should take advantage as soon as they can.

The PC version of Stellar Blade had been set up to be announced for quite a while, first surfacing from a financial filing last year. It was officially confirmed in November 2024, and has just recently received its June 11th release after a trailer leaked online with the date and additions. Differing from the PlayStation version, the PC version will have AI upscaling, unlocked frame rate, 25 brand new costumes, and an entirely new boss battle. In addition, those who purchase the Complete Edition will get the Nier: Automata DLC and Goddess of Victory: Nikke DLC. With the sequel recently hinted at releasing before 2027, there may not be a better time to join Eve in her fight for humanity than now.

Stellar Blade will launch on Steam on June 11th. The deal, going on at Fanatical, is available here for an unspecified time. For all things Stellar Blade, PC, and more, keep it here at ComicBook.

The Epic Games Store has been a great marketplace for players to pick their next title, whether it’s brand new or classic. However, there’s a pretty sizeable collection of games from an equally huge publisher that’s totally absent from the Epic Games Store. Usually, many would make sure to have their games on multiple marketplaces as to ensure as many people can play it the way they prefer to. While the Epic Games Store is relatively new compared to Steam, it is a bit shocking that one major company in the video game world hasn’t put its games on it.

The Epic Games Store, created by Epic Games, the same creators of Fortnite and Unreal Engine, was released in 2018 as a response to Steam’s high revenue cut. Over the years, many game companies have brought their games to the storefront, sometimes even being exclusive to it instead of Steam. Some of those games include Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, Satisfactory, and Shenmue 3, but you won’t find any games from Capcom in the Epic Games Store

Capcom Is Still Not On Epic Games Store

As noticed by user Madukes96 on Reddit, iconic Japanese publisher Capcom has yet to launch any of their titles on the Epic Games Store. The company, which is home to several famed franchises like Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and Monster Hunter, has done quite well on other platforms like consoles and Steam. Yet, even with the success of the Epic Games Store, it seems Capcom hasn’t looked to the storefront to transfer its already-released titles on.

The post does bring up a quote from Capcom’s 2nd Quarter of Fiscal Year 2020 Presentation, linked here, where an invested inquired about if the company would release projects on the Epic Games Store.

“We are not commenting on specific services at this time,” Capcom said in response to the question about the Epic Games Store and other storefronts. “We will continue to evaluate opportunities on a variety of platforms.”

one of Monster Hunter Wilds’ characters, Gemma.

Capcom’s lack of presence on the Epic Games Store is indeed noticeable, especially when some of its bigger titles have had huge success on various platforms. For example, Monster Hunter Wilds, which came out earlier this year, had a record-breaking eight million copies sold in three days, making it the fastest ever Capcom game to reach that feat. On Steam, launch day had a peak on 1.3 million players, ranking it among the most-played titles on the service ever. The Resident Evil games also frequently go on sale, so while there are ample opportunities to get them elsewhere, you won’t find them discounted as part of the Epic Games Store’s many sales.

Despite Capcom’s not being on the service, Epic Games Store still continues to bring in new customers every day. One of its biggest selling points is its giveaways, where new free games are available each week. This week, you can get Deliver at All Costs, Gigapocalyse, and Sifu for free until May 29th. It’s a pretty good way to get players to play titles on your service and expose them to new genres. However, for the time being, we may not see Devil May Cry or Dead Rising as one of those for a while.

Are you shocked Capcom hasn’t released its games onto the Epic Games Store? Which games, if any, would you like to see on it? Let us know in the comments below! For all things Epic Games Store, Capcom, and more, keep it here at ComicBook.

A Steam game that normally costs PC users $40 is currently available for free. That said, this offer is only available for a limited time or, more specifically, until May 26. After this, the Steam deal will expire and the PC game will revert back to its normal $40 price point. Unfortunately, while this offer is available to Steam Deck users, the game is not Steam Deck Verified. Rather, it is listed as Playable, which means the game is functional on Steam Deck, however issues may be present and it may require users to put extra effort into configuration.

As for the free Steam game in question, it is Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War, a 2018 release from developer Proxy Studios and publisher Slitherine. At the time, this was the former’s sophomore release following 2013’s Pandora: First Contact. Meanwhile, since then the developer has released Zephon, which came out back in 2024.

According to Steam user reviews, the 2018 Warhammer 40,000 game is pretty good. To date, the strategy game has amassed 14,413 user reviews, 81 percent of which are positive. This gives the PC game a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, the second highest rating a Steam game can earn.

As for the game itself, Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War is not just notable because it is a Warhammer 40,000 game, but it is particularly noteworthy within the world of Warhammer 40,000 because it is the first turn-based 4X strategy game set in said universe.

“Gladius Prime was known to Imperial scholars as a planet of archeological interest,” reads an official story synopsis of the game on Steam. “During its colonization ancient relics were found, revealing hints of a shrouded past. But it was more than relics. Something awakened, an unspeakable horror from an ancient past, and the citizens of Gladius found themselves trapped in a terrible war for survival. Gladius Prime was once a planet of peace. Now there is only war.”

Those that decide to check out Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War now that it is free on Steam should bare minimum expect to dump about 10 to 11 hours into the game to complete its campaign. However, completionists will need closer to 50 to 55 hours with the strategy game. And of course, as a turn-based 4X strategy game, it had ample replayability.

One of May’s best and most popular Steam games is now Steam Deck verified roughly a week or two after its release. Previously, it was playable on Steam Deck, but not Verified. For those confused about what the difference is, “Verified” refers to a status given out by Valve itself after it conducts testing on the game that ensures it not only entirely runs on Steam Deck, but works nicely with its built-in controls and display.

The Steam game in question is The Precinct, which has fallen down the Steam charts a bit since its release, but was at one point outselling heavyweights like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. For those unfamiliar with the game, The Precinct is a neon-noir action sandbox police game where you play as the police. It was released on May 13, at the price of $29.99, by Fallen Tree Games.

According to Steam user reviews, The Precinct is pretty good. Right now, it has 3,778 user reviews, and 85 percent of these reviews are positive, giving it a “Very Positive” Steam User Review rating. This is the second highest rating a game can earn on Steam.

“You are Officer Nick Cordell Jr. As a rookie beat cop fresh out of the Academy, you’re on the front line of defence for Averno’s citizens,” reads an official description of the game, for those unfamiliar with it. “Dive into a world of thrilling car chases, sandbox crimes, and a healthy dose of 1980s noir as you protect the populace and solve the mystery of your father’s murder in the line of duty.”

The game’s official Steam description continues: “A love letter to classic cop movies, The Precinct combines police sim with action sandbox spectacle. Patrol the streets and respond to callouts to fight criminals petty and powerful. Choose your own tactics in thrilling chases and shootouts. Feel the shifting power struggles of Averno’s gangs in a living city full of sandbox crimes, from parking infractions to bank heists, street racing to drug deals.”

“Love the game. Reminds of the old GTA games. Graphics are nice, runs smooth and the story uses voice overs so I can play without reading the game,” reads one of the aforementioned user reviews.

Those that decide to check out The Precinct on Steam Deck should expect to sit down with the police game for about 10 to 16 hours, with the variance coming down to factors such as playstyle and completion rate.

New Gacha Games 2025 Rememento White Shadow Global Launch

With more people picking up mobile gaming and many gamers balking at the up-front cost of traditional games, gachas are rising in popularity. Many recent popular mobile games, including Pokemon TCG Pocket, employ gacha-style mechanics. You can play the game for free, but those lottery-style pulls will cost you in in-game grind or real-life cash. While there are already some great gacha games out there, fans are always looking for the next exciting new release to check out. Now, a highly anticipated gacha called Rememento: White Shadow appears to have set its sights on a global release date of May 28th.

HoYoverse games like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail are some of the most popular gachas out there, and newcomers like Wuthering Waves have picked up steam as well. This upcoming release has many gamers saying it looks like a mix of Honkai and Wuthering Waves, which has global gamers excited to see it release. And now, an update from the developer appears to target a global release date for Rememento: White Shadow.

This information comes from a forum update from the developers of Rememento: White Shadow, where it shared details about the game’s upcoming 1.4 update. Among the translated details, one gacha gamer spotted details about global servers getting added to the game, alongside the option to select country-specific languages, including English, Japanese, German, French, and Spanish, alongside the original Korean.

Global Launch for Rememento: White Shadow Could Be a Quiet One

Aside from this hint in the patch notes for the 1.4 update, however, Rememento has yet to share much about this supposed global release. This has some fans doubting whether it’s actually happening. If the translated details are accurate, however, it looks like a global version of the gacha will arrive with the next patch on May 28th. However, gacha gamers scouring the web for information on how to pre-register or any English-language social media accounts for the game haven’t had much luck.

It’s possible that this patch will add the global servers, but not necessarily make them fully live. However, if the translation is accurate, the notes do say “you can choose between Korean and global servers through server selection.” This suggests that gamers will be able to access Rememento: White Shadow‘s global servers when this update goes live. However, if the mobile game isn’t available on App Stores, it may require gamers to head to the game’s website and use its PC client. If so, it’s likely not going to take off quite like games like Genshin, which are easily accessible on multiple platforms.

Characters in Rememento White Shadow
Two new character skins coming to Rememento: White Shadow

Despite doubt about whether the game is actually launching with so little fanfare, many gacha fans are excited for this one. It has earned the nickname “Wuthering Star Rail” from some hardcore gacha fans due to its apparent combination of some of the best elements of Wuthering Waves and Honkai: Star Rail. The game’s world looks much like the one depicted in Wuthering Waves, while gameplay has been described as similar to Honkai: Star Rail. And as one player puts it, that combination could be “the best of 2 worlds.”

Gacha fans will have their eyes on this one as the supposed global launch date of May 28th approaches. Hopefully, we’ll be able to jump in and see if the hype holds up for Rememento: White Shadow soon enough!

We all know about Shy Guy, the sentient computer, Plague Doctor, and SCP’s statuesque neck-breaker, 173. But what about the lesser-known evils, those Keter entries that make you grateful these strange anomalies and entities don’t really exist.

Secure, Contain, Protect. That’s the name, the motto, the words to live by. Stories like Chinese whispers spread around the world wide web, breathing life into dark fiction. Although they may not be real, some SCPs stay with you. Whether they’re reimagined in a physical form through legendary SCP games like Containment Breach or have intricate lore that makes them believable, there’s an SCP out there that will manifest in your mind and haunt you.

This expansion community-based world is vast and rich of content, but what are the scariest SCPs ever “discovered?” With recordings and images of these contained diseases, anomalies, and entities, SCPs are classified as one of four categories: Safe, Euclid (containable), Keter (can escape containment), and Thaumiel (SCPs that counter others). Here are the creepiest SCPs ever recorded. Make sure to read their entire entries of these SCPs and pray you’ll get proper sleep tonight.

5) SCP-5000

Also known as: Why?

SCP-5000 could be a television show with its intricate story that gives us the perfect start, middle, and end. What’s interesting about this entry is that the SCP is referencing a metal suit, but reading the journal entries tells a very different story, where the suit is one small component to a larger, more terrifying tale.

Like something out of Devilman Crybaby, SCP-5000 tells a tale of what would happen if the Foundation turned against humanity, unleashing their contained Keter to annihilate the human race. But why would they do such a thing? The Foundation acted like a hive mind as a result of looking at classified images (“eggs, trees, religious stuff”). This was a second file that was quickly redacted following its nefarious effects. But it wasn’t a memetic agent that triggered a response to whoever saw then, making me wonder, what exactly was it? These images resulted in global catastrophe where the worst, most evil, most deadly SCPs were released into the world, free to enact all kinds of violence against the innocent.

Could you imagine such terror unfolding around the world at once, killing everything in its path? Monsters free to rule Earth, where only Thaumiel SCPs could help you stay safe, but these were only available to Foundation members that escaped the entrance of Hell in time. There’s one question you will always return to; whether you lived one minute, one month, or one year into the Foundation’s attack on humanity: why?

4) SCP-4666

Also known as: The Yule Man

A seemingly immortal and naked humanoid figure hibernates for most of the year, appearing from December 21-22 and leaving January 1-2. The Yule Man has specific rules it abides by, being that it targets families with children, one child must be under the age of eight. The Yule Man will only target families in rural homes, where it watches from afar or makes connect with the targeted child by looking through their window. Footsteps are heard, followed by an unpleasant odor, but the Yule Man is never seen.

The families describe their homes as haunted during this time, until the Yule Man eventually attacks, killing all family members, and abducting the eight-year old. The family is tortured and killed in front of one another. The first known recording of Yule Man was in 1498, the latest, 1996. SCP-4666 appears human, but has bizarre characteristics that separate it from what we know: double whorl fingerprint and hair without testable DNA.

Honestly, the terror of the Yule Man is enough to forgo having children altogether, for the threat of this horrifying humanoid is too grand. How does it know when a child turns eight? Why rural areas? What does it do with the abducted children? Unfortunately there’s an answer for the latter, as children have been turned into dolls, their scalp removed in place of another child’s hair, mouth sewn shut by tendons, eyes replaced with peddles, and fingernails swapped for others. It’s Toy Story‘s Sid all grown up. Worst of all, these “dolls” are still alive.

Christmas would never be celebrated again.

3) SCP-3001

Also known as: Red Reality

Imagine a dimension engulfed in blackness where the only light present is a flickering red from the recording device. This is what Dr. Scranton experienced. But unlike him, anyone else transported here wouldn’t have the comfort of the light to speak to. The recording offered spatial awareness for Scranton, which would be missing for others. He knew how much time had passed, but that doesn’t mean he’s lucky.

Scranton could feel hunger, but never eat, thirst, yet never drink. He would wander the darkness, searching for an exit for years, just to find the same blackness surrounding him. Madness is inevitable, but what of your physical body? Days turn to months, turn to years, your body decaying slowly, but unaware of what it’s becoming. A smell of iron consumes you, your limbs start to dissipate into the sludge below. Is this void just death? A darkness that has taken those who came before and those who will come after? This is not nothingness for you are alive, conscious, aware you are somewhere you don’t belong.

The void prolongs your suffering, eating away at your mind and body. Scranton called it a “dead end.” It is a terrifying, isolating life to live, incapable of ending ones suffering for the void won’t allow it. Scranton entered this dimension in 1961 and emerged in 2005, his body made up of blood and vomit, his being stretched across the recording device, where his wife, Anna was the first to see what he’d become. He made it back, but it only cost him everything.

2) SCP-7179

Also known as: E is for Eternity

Many like myself are terrified of the thought of death. The human mind is incapable of truly understanding the concept of “nothing” as we still come up with something to define it, thus implying there could never really be nothing because we simply cannot comprehend it. But imagine if your consciousness were transported into an SCP upon death? Unlike our version of reality, however, you are of peak health and are placed in what (on the surface) would be deemed a sanctuary.

SCP-7179 is a tropical island, full of amenities that make it seem like Heaven initially. Perfect weather, a readily available beach house upon arrival, and three other humans to greet you (although I wouldn’t classify them as “normal”). Any injuries you attain, accidental or self-inflicted, heal the same amount of time it would take back on Earth, but no matter how terrible the injury may be, you can never succumb to it. What appears like Heaven on paper, quickly transforms into Hell, as you cannot leave. Time passes and feels the same as life on Earth, but any attempt to leave just spawns you on the other side of the island. What remains a constant is the forever pushing on of time.

This makes SCP-7179 absolutely terrifying, for the idea of living forever would quickly become boring, then maddening. Imagine that. To live forever and be unable to experience true nothingness. Life of fulfilment, peace, or regret means absolutely nothing when it never ends. How long even is eternity?

1) SCP-2718

Also known as: What Happens After

There’s a warning on your screen for investigating this SCP. Amnestic treatment is recommended. Do not scroll beyond this point. But curiosity tugs away at you, so you ignore and click on “DAMMERUNG EYES ONLY.” Dammerung? This class doesn’t even exist. Yet you look anyway, only to discover what happens after we die.

An Overseer called Roger was brought back to life. He was dead for 18 years. Everything seemed normal at first until Roger started asking and pushing about immortal life. While he claimed he didn’t see anything on the other side, he returned to Earth sobbing. Roger’s description of what happens when you die is neither Heaven nor Hell, neither a dream nor a nightmare. It cannot be accurately described. Trapped in a state of extreme awareness of both space and sensations, Roger describes a perpetual suffocation.

Feeling everything during decomposition; larvae crawling in his skin, insects consuming his dead flesh, the destruction of cells, fluids seeping out of every orifice. He felt and understood every moment of his body returning to the Earth, yet this was only the beginning. The pain stretched his body, worse than any pain we’ve endured in our individual lifetimes. This is what everyone before us and everyone after us will endure? Is it even enduring at this point? It’s not living yet was more pain than when we were alive. Roger saw this as our human condition, that through no fault of our own, through no action (be it evil or as a saint), would alter this outcome.

This SCP isn’t so much a living entity or an object, but a thought, a fact, and confirmation of what happens when we die. If we learnt that this was the true nature of our death, wouldn’t you want so desperately to avoid this fate? But the result is to forget, for ignorance is bliss. Then an awful thought flooded my mind—please don’t tell me this is why babies cry when they’re born.

A Steam game that was previously a paid game is now free, and it has been made free because it is being removed from the digital PC storefront. The Steam game in question was only released back on April 1, 2024, so it is fairly new. That said, the developer and publisher of the game — Anything Nose — is shutting down. It is unclear why this means the game must be removed from Steam, but this is the reason provided by the developer. As for when exactly it is going to be removed from Steam that information is not provided. All the developer notes is it will be soon. As for the game itself, it is called Mouthole.

“We’re very sad to have to announce that Anything Nose is no longer able to continue operating,” reads an official statement from Anything Nose. “We’re also sad to announce that Mouthole will soon be removed from the Steam storefront as well. “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who played and supported our work. We can’t say how much we’ve appreciated it.”

For those unfamiliar with the game, Mouthole is a creepy adventure RPG that places players in surreal world. And apparently it is pretty good. Right now, the free Steam game has a 97 percent approval rating across 87 different user reviews.

“Find whatever comfort you can in your house, deciding what you want to spend your limited time on and which threads you want to pull,” reads the game’s official description on Steam. “Work on your fitness, surf the web, invest in the stock market, scrub up and keep your life together – or dream to delve deeper into the mysteries inside your mouth Get to know a small cast of characters; alter their lives with your actions. Play your way and find out how your story ends.”

There is no concrete and conclusive data on how long Mouthole is, but many of the user reviews have 1-2 hours with the game. Though others have as much as 10 hours. What can certainly be confirmed it is on the shorter side. What can not be confirmed is whether or not it runs on Steam Deck. The game’s Steam page lists Steam Deck compatibility as “Unknown.”

“Came for the temporal scarcity, stayed for the existential crisis,” reads one of the aforementioned user reviews. “Underrated game. I respect the creativity that went into this project,” adds another user review.

In addition to Mouthole being removed from Steam, the studio’s upcoming game, Diacritic, is being cancelled. This means its own listing is being removed from Steam, as well as its free demo.

Let’s be honest. In this economy, many gamers have to make tough choices about which big games they can afford. For many, that means looking at free-to-play games to get their gaming fix. But with microtransactions, ads, and more, not all free games are created equal. If you’re looking for a good, free game to play on Steam, here’s a list of highly rated, solid games that actually offer enjoyable gameplay and a good amount of content.

From HoYoverse-style games like Wuthering Waves to in-depth RPGs like Path of Exile 2, there’s a free gaming option for just about anyone on Steam, if you know where to look. To make this ranking, I took a few different factors into account. First, the overall Steam ratings had to fall in the “Very Positive” category. Then, I considered the total number of reviews, while also trying to include a mix of genres for a well-rounded list. With that in mind, here are the best free Steam games in 2025.

10. Wuthering Waves

Wuthering Waves on Steam
The art style of Wuthering Waves is part of its appeal

Genre: Single-player Action RPG

Steam Deck Verified: No (But In Progress)

This game has fewer Steam reviews than most on our list because it’s a fairly new arrival on the platform. Still, Wuthering Waves has quickly grown a large fanbase on Steam, following its success as a mobile game and PS5 title. This open-world RPG from developer Kuro Games has an anime art style that’s earned it HoYoverse comps, but also offers challenging combat and a unique story all its own.

9. Palia

Palia Free Steam Game
Farming in Palia on Steam

Genre: Multiplayer Life/Farming Sim

Steam Deck Verified: Playable

One of two cozy games on our list is Palia, a beloved life sim from Singularity 6. This free-to-play game has multiplayer elements, but also offers plenty for solo gamers who want to get into some planting, crafting, and exploring. Palia is also available on Nintendo Switch and plans to launch soon for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with cross-play and cross-progression. So, it’s a solid free option for your next cozy multiplayer virtual hang.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links Steam
Steam Screenshot for Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links

Genre: Online TCG with Singleplayer & Multiplayer Components

Steam Deck Verified: Yes

Duel Links is one of a few free Yu-Gi-Oh! games on Steam alongside Master Duel. However, for this list, I went with Duel Links as more recent reviews for Master Duel skew less positive. With Duel Links, you’ll be able to take on duels against iconic characters like Yugi, Kaiba, Joey, and Mai – with actual voices from the anime! It offers a single-player campaign and online PvP for the best of both worlds. If you find yourself saying “it’s time to d-d-d-d-duel” with any regularity, this might be the free Steam game for you.

7. Star Wars: The Old Republic

Star wars: The old Repulic features some familiarfaces

Genre: MMORPG

Steam Deck Verified: Playable

Don’t worry, we won’t forget something for gamers who prefer games set in a galaxy far, far away. Star Wars: The Old Republic is Broadsword and EA Games’ take on a Star Wars MMORPG. And if those Very Positive Steam reviews are to be believed, it works. The game lets you customize your own Sith or Jedi character as you navigate an open-world RPG with a distinct Star Wars flavor. It still gets regular content updates, so you won’t run out of things to do any time soon.

6. The Sims 4

Sims 4 gameplay screenshot

Genre: Life Sim

Steam Deck Verified: Playable

Of course, we can’t leave out what’s quite possibly the biggest life sim around. The Sims 4 went free-to-play for the base game a few years ago, and fans are still loving what it has to offer. Yes, the expansion packs and paid add-ons are tempting, but there’s a good amount of content in the free base game, which sees regular updates. For telling your own stories (or dooming Sims to various deaths), it’s hard to beat The Sims 4.

5. Path of Exile

Path of Exile Free on Steam

Genre: Action RPG / MMORPG

Steam Deck Verified: Playable

The newest game from Grinding Gear Games, Path of Exile 2, has a price tag attached to early access. But the first installment, which still gets regular updates from GGG as well, is free-to-play on Steam. It remains among the most-played games to this day, with an overall Very Positive rating. As an action-RPG, there are optional co-op and PvP opportunities, but the game works just fine for single players as well. For an engaging dungeon-crawling RPG experience that’s free on Steam, you can’t do better than Path of Exile.

4. Marvel Rivals

Sunshine Rocket Raccon Squirrel Girl Marvel Rivals
recentlyl added marvel rivals skins for rocket racoon and squirrel girl

Genre: Third-Person Hero Shooter

Steam Deck Verified: Playable

Is it any surprise that the wildly popular Marvel superhero shooter makes our list? Marvel Rivals is indeed free on Steam, and despite some player commentary about nerfs and buffs, it’s highly rated. And it’s no surprise. The game combines fast-paced PvP shooter gameplay with iconic Marvel characters from the MCU and beyond. Marvel Rivals offers cross-play, so you can battle it out with friends on other platforms while enjoying this free game on Steam.

3. Unturned

Unturned Free Game Steam

Genre: Zombie Survival

Steam Deck Verified: Playable

Looking for a fun, free game with a zombie survival vibe? Unturned is a highly rated multiplayer survival game on Steam where you team up with friends to survive the zombie onslaught. It offers single-player options but is at its best with online co-op or PvP modes. Unturned‘s block art style has a bit of a Minecraft vibe, making it less terrifying for your non-horror-fan friends to enjoy.

2. Warframe

Warframe Steam

Genre: Looter Shooter

Steam Deck Verified: Yes

Warframe remains one of the most popular and most highly rated free-to-play games on Steam. This free-to-play looter shooter features engaging gameplay and a solid story that keeps players coming back for more. And it still gets regular updates, adding new content on a fairly regular basis to keep things fresh. Warframe does offer single-player content, but it’s best known for multiplayer gameplay, which does include cross-play with other platforms.

1. Dota 2

Hero Selection in DOTA 2
Hero selection screenshot from Dota 2 on Steam

Genre: Team-Based MOBA

Steam Deck Verified: Playable

Dota 2 is an incredibly popular, free-to-play MOBA from Valve. It still consistently tops the current player charts and has maintained a Very Positive rating since its launch in 2013. Dota 2 still sees regular updates that keep gameplay fresh with new heroes, abilities, and items. It offers a variety of game modes as well as skill-based matchmaking to ensure new players can find their groove on the battlefield. And all hero options are free, cutting back on those pay-to-win concerns, as well.

There are many indie horror gems since 2020 that have handled the disturbing darkness that appears around seemingly ordinary people. From home invasion to cosmic horrors where you must determine whether the person at your door is a human or an imposter—I’ve got too many reasons now to not go outside or interact in small talk. Stranger danger, am I right? I’m still telling couriers to leave parcels and food at the door, long after the pandemic. I need to touch grass, but how can I when there’s fake humans, crazed killers, and freaky neighbors out there? But maybe life isn’t exactly what indie horror has taught me.

In the midst of all the eerie content—there’s a wide-eyed, unnaturally moving, forever creepy cartoonish character inviting me to have dinner at his place. I’m new to the neighborhood, I just want to fit in. We all need a community, right? I don’t want to judge on first impressions or someone’s appearance. But…have you seen that neighbor? His name is Theo. There’s something very wrong with him. I can’t place it, but there’s an uneasiness in the air, an uncomfortableness. His conversations make the hairs on the back of my neck stand. His eyes pierce my soul, climbing in to remove whatever confidence I had built up just to be here. There’s a darkness in him. Emanating from the basement. A darkness I can’t escape from.

Thanks Eli Stevens—I Hate It

This is Discussion Over Dinner, a free-to-play horror game by Eli Stevens that has put me off being a dinner guest ever again. You’re new to the neighborhood and friendly Theo wants to invite you over for dinner and a chat. He’s obsessed with conversation, you see. Like a strange mix of Morty after going through the detox machine in Rick & Morty and Salad Fingers, Theo says some very strange things. He’s very particular and forces you to listen to his likes, dislikes, hobbies, and strong views.

There’s not much to like—in fact—there’s a lot to hate. But Theo can’t know any of this. Because upsetting Theo will only get you thrown into his basement, where the rest of his “pets” dwell. Claustrophobic, starving, and afraid—that’s the fate that awaits you if you don’t endure dinner.

Everything is Telling Me to Run

So what is it about this game that has me so on edge? I’ve played horror games since adolescence, but few have managed to make me as uncomfortable as this game. If you’re a socially anxious person that sucks at small talk like me, it may be how Discussion Over Dinner perfectly captures the anxiety behind forming coherent sentences without coming across as “weird.”

Or maybe it’s Theo’s gaze, how it stays on me at all times, how he leans in and ignores mypersonal space that makes me want the Earth to swallow me up so I don’t have to deal with this man a second longer.

The Uncanny Valley

Discussion Over Dinner‘s cartoonish art design is fitting, as many popular entries like Bad Parenting and Baldi’s Basics use this simplistic appearance to trick us into thinking it’s friendly and harmless when they’re far from it. His large head, massive ears and eyes, small lips, and spindly legs paint an unnatural and uncanny image; as if Theo isn’t human.

You’re on edge the moment he greets you and remain in that space, your body tense for impact as if this man might lunge at you any moment. You’re forced to not only stare at the horror, but have to risk averting your eyes from the danger so you can choose your words wisely, for misclicking could get you killed.

The Mystery, The Horror

It sounds strange but the ferocious banging from the basement of past victims screaming for help isn’t what unsettles me. It’s that Theo made you steak, but he’s not eating. What kind of meat are you eating? How are his eyes that big, and why do his pupils expand when he shakes your hand? Is this all about control? Does Theo just get off on all this? There are so many questions, and I don’t want the answers to any of them.

For a moment I think to myself: is this about how we perceive others, or perhaps, how our greatest fears of what could go wrong stop us from truly being able to connect? But then I remember Theo’s friendliness is just a façade for the wickedness that’s bursting inside him, wanting so desperately to get out.

Discussion Over Dinner is more than feeling awkward, it’s more than being uncomfortable; it’s pure anxiety. Balancing conversation, eating, and managing distractions, this game is the ultimate anxiety and stress simulator and is one I may not get over. At least people aren’t actually like this… right?

Stellar Blade Free PSN Outfit

The popular action game Stellar Blade launched in late 2024 as a PS5 exclusive, quickly earning the highest Metacritic score for any PS5 release. However, PC gamers are finally about to get a chance to experience the game when it arrives on Steam on June 11th. Developer ShiftUp recently revealed that Stellar Blade will release for PC alongside its new Complete Edition version. Naturally, pre-ordering the standard or Complete Edition of Stellar Blade comes with plenty of bonuses, but there’s one extra deal for gamers with a PSN account.

ShiftUp and PlayStation previously revealed the exciting new bonuses that players will get for pre-ordering Stellar Blade for PC or the Complete Edition for PC or PS5. Naturally, this includes some DLC content alongside a few special cosmetics for the game’s protagonist, EVE. The Complete Edition includes a few bonus perks alongside the regular pre-purchase bonuses, but apparently, ShiftUp wasn’t quite finished giving out bonuses. There’s one more special offer available for PSN customers, featuring another free EVE costume.

Stellar Blade PSN Free Costume PC Release
ShiftUp’s Image for the free PSN Stellar Blade bonus

This perk is a bit of a weird one. Gamers who buy Stellar Blade for PC via Steam, then connect their Steam and PlayStation Network accounts, will unlock the free bonus costume. Since a PSN account won’t be required to play the game on Steam, this may be an incentive to get gamers to sign up if they aren’t already using a PSN account for PlayStation.

The featured cosmetic is the EVE Planet Diving Suit (2nd), a sleek, futuristic black costume featured in Stellar Blade. The fine print notes that gamers will only be able to access the cosmetic while their Steam and PSN accounts remain connected, so no quick turning it on and back off again here.

What is the EVE Planet Diving Suit (2nd) Freebie?

This freebie is an incentive for PC gamers to link up with their PSN accounts on Steam. Given Stellar Blade’s connection to PlayStation, that certainly makes some sense. But while free cosmetics are always exciting, it’s important to note that the Planet Diving Suit (2nd) is not an exclusive reward. So, if you don’t have a PSN account or know how to connect it to Steam, it’s not impossible for you to get the costume. You just won’t get it for free, or immediately after downloading Stellar Blade for PC on June 11th.

The 2nd Planet Diving Suit costume for EVE is available in Roxanne’s Shop, which is located in Xion. The suit typically costs 3 Vitcoin, an in-game currency that you collect from various chests and by completing side quests in the game. Not every outfit is available right away, so you do need to get the shop’s affinity up before you can buy outfits like the Planet Diving Suit (2nd).

So, while it is possible for gamers who don’t link their PSN and Steam accounts to get this EVE cosmetic, you will get it earlier and arguably more easily through this free bonus. Gamers who have a PSN account and who plan to play Stellar Blade on PC when it launches may as well take advantage of this extra perk. After all, this particular EVE costume is a go-to look for many players thanks to its sleek design, so why not have the option to wear it earlier, and for free?

Stellar Blade is available now for PS5. It launches for PC on June 11th, alongside the new Complete Edition for PC and PS5. The Standard Edition costs $59.99, while the Complete Edition is $79.99. You can pre-order now via Steam.

After a long while, today, Sega and Atlus announced during a live stream that Persona 5: The Phantom X will finally be released in the West this Summer on PC and Mobile as a free-to-play game. The news was teased earlier this week, with all eyes set on today’s showcase of the title. The RPG title, which was only available in China and other countries, had yet to make its way to the United States. Now, the sequel spin-off will finally be released here, as well as in other countries like Japan. Furthermore, we have an official release date for Persona 5: The Phantom X: June 26th, 2025.

As mentioned before, the title is a PC/Mobile exclusive release, with no mention of potential console launches, like for the Nintendo Switch 2. Furthermore, Persona 5: The Phantom X is not created by Atlus’ internal teams, but by Black Wing Game Studio, a subsidiary of Perfect World Games (Tower of Fantasy). Still, the signature gameplay of Persona, like its school life simulations and social links, as well as, of course, the addictive turn-based RPG combat and dungeon crawling. In addition, the title is a Gacha game, similar to Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, but it remains to be seen how integrated the system will be in the typical gameplay.

Persona 5: The Phantom X Releases on PC and Mobile on June 26th

The story of Persona 5: The Phantom X follows Wonder, a typical student living in a mysterious world devoid of desires. Alongside your feathered friend and owl confidante, Lufel, you’ll gain the power of strong demons called Personas and go into vast mind palaces in the Metaverse to fix the corrupt adults whose desires have become twisted. In typical Persona fashion, new teammates will join your new group of Phantom Thieves, along with new Personas, only this time, it seems the real Phantom Thieves from Persona 5, like Joker, Ann, and Ryuji, will play some role.

Despite being the fifth overall spin-off for Persona 5, with the last being Persona 5 Tactica, there’s a lot to look forward to with Persona 5: The Phantom X. Many key figures, like series producer Kazuhisa Wada and composer Ryota Kozuka, contributed to the project, with the design of protagonist Wonder and his Persona done by character designer Shigenori Soejima. Plus, the soundtrack will feature songs from Persona 5‘s vocalist Lyn, who also performs the game’s main theme, “Ambitions and Visions”, which can be heard in the trailer.

Debuting as an open beta in October 2024, Persona 5: The Phantom X was exclusive to China, Taiwan, Macau, and South Korea, with Japan having been recently announced to get the game earlier this year. Many updates to the game, like limited-time events and additional palaces and characters, have been continuously added, so we can expect even more with the Western release. Either way, it makes the wait for Persona 6 a bit more sustainable and our time with the Phantom Thieves just a while longer, which is always a good thing.

Persona 5: The Phantom X sneaks its way onto PC and Mobile platforms on June 26th, 2025 and is free-to-play. If you want to know more, you can check out the official social media accounts of Atlus West, like X and YouTube. For everything Persona, RPGs, and more, keep it here at ComicBook.

A new Steam game out today, May 15, is free, but only for its first 24 hours. After this, the PC game will become a paid game on Steam. Right now, Steam Deck compatibility is listed as “Unknown,” so it is unclear if Steam Deck users can get in on the action. However, even if it doesn’t run on Steam Deck, owners of the handheld Valve machine should still claim the free download in case this changes in the future with a future update.

Released by developers Glowfish and Rangatang, the new free Steam is Nubs: Arena. This is Rangatang’s first release, after the team was formed out of Romino Games founding members behind Awesomenauts. Meanwhile, Glowfish is making its sophomore release with this new Steam game having previously released Trifox in 2022, a 3D platformer with a “Very Positive” rating on Steam.

“All hail Konzumos the Unentertained, the one who demands to be amused,” reads an official description of the game for those interested in knowing more. “Guide your Nub through a variety of treacherous arenas brimming with traps. Unlock new power-ups after every match, and collect the most ridiculous gear to smack other Nubs down—all to become Konzumos’ favorite.

The free Steam game’s official description continues: “Nubs!: Arena is an absurd player-versus-player arena brawler inspired by old-school, top-down RPGs. Gather your friends and clash in lightning-quick multiplayer battles that mix frantic, party-style chaos with roguelite progression. Sharpen your wits (Nub-style) and battle against the other Nubs in various game modes as you dodge booby traps and lethally fling fish alike! With simple rules in a mad world, every match can spiral into all-out pandemonium at any moment!”

Why this new PC game is free its first 24 hours, the developers don’t say, but it is clearly to promote the game, which would likely extremely fly under the radar if it released under more traditional circumstances.

Unfortunately, because the Steam game is brand new, we do not have any information to offer about how much content it provides nor whether that content is any good. The good news is it costs nothing to find either these things our for yourself. Meanwhile, there is currently no word of this game coming to consoles, making it a PC and Steam exclusive.

Although there are many I’m on Observation Duty games available for you to try out and master, sometimes a change in scenery and gameplay could do you good—as a true test of your observation skills. Stretch your legs and prepare your mind for the influx of anomalies heading your way. Some are as simple as misplacing your car keys, others have a far more sinister approach that may just end in your demise.

Anomaly hunting games can be terrifying, others are oddly calming as they test your observation skills. But some games take the fundamentals of I’m on Observation Duty and throw survival-horror into the mix, where flight or fight jolts your system, for the warm comfort behind the camera monitor isn’t always available. For veteran anomaly hunters, set your eyes on these spot-the-difference horror games that’ll surely keep you transfixed.

1) Alternate Watch

The Basement in Alternate Watch with a Tulpa poking out its head on the left side of the room

Inspired by Mandela Catalogue, Alternate Watch combines standard anomaly hunting with intruders that resemble humans. These creatures are pretending to be one of us, but they can’t quite get their appearance right, there’s always something that makes them distinctly “inhuman.” Alternate Watch stands out for its intruder designs and small details in the anomalies that create a perfectly balanced spot the difference game. Although it’s an incomplete project that the developer has sadly moved on from, Alternate Watch is still incredibly polished, offering a creepy atmosphere and a dark mode to keep you on your toes.

2) CAPTURED

Looking through the ajar door at the monster with the weeping angel mechanic

CAPTURED is the Backrooms anomaly hunting game with a twist. Unlike other Observation Duty-style games where you’re trapped staring at a screen, you can walk through your apartment and scan entire rooms for anomalies. What makes CAPTURED one of the scariest spot-the-difference horror games is its entities, sound design, and use of lighting. These SCP-style monsters have unique mechanics you must understand if you want to survive. CAPTURED has a tense atmosphere that’s non-existent in other entries, as you typically feel safe observing anomalies from another room. You truly feel in danger in CAPTURED—as if you’re prey caught in a suffocating trap.

3) Caught on Camera

Entrance cam in Caught on Camera

The minute details in Caught on Camera can distract you from noticing the obvious intruder hoping you won’t spot them in time. One of the best I’m on Observation Duty-type games, Caught on Camera throws so many objects at you that it’s hard to keep track of any changes, regardless of how big or small they may be. In the midst of searching for tiny differences, intruders make their way onto the scene, all in an attempt to jumpscare you and make you forget about the layout with each snap onto another camera monitor. Caught on Camera is a true test of your spot-the-difference skills.

4) Confabulation

Demonic presence at back of the living room in Confabulation

Trapped inside a house, Confabulation mixes jumpscares with anomaly hunting, where hostile entities hide in the shadows, waiting for you to make a mistake. The candles offer insight into how many anomalies currently plague your home and where, relying on your trusty camera to help remove them (almost like exorcizing a spirit). Taking too long to find an anomaly only adds more to the list, just like I’m on Observation Duty. Rather than repeatedly going through the same area to reach a designated number (like Exit 8, Route 8, and The Ten Bells), Confabulation has you solve puzzles, manage anomalies, ward off demons, and unlock rooms to your home to uncover more lore.

5) Dead Signal

Looking down the hotel corridor from the elevator in Dead Signal

The most unique spot-the-difference horror game sees I’m on Observation Duty mixed with Welcome to the Game. Created by Scrutinized developer, Dead Signal is an unforgiving game about observation with cat-and-mouse mechanics. Being hunted by multiple hostile threats, you need to look for anomalies to get money in, fill your quota, all while evading bloodthirsty killers that will invade the apartment rooftop—or worse, your home. If you were looking for an easy Observation Duty game, then steer clear of Dead Signal‘s torment. There’s a tension in Reflect Studios’ games like no other, and Dead Signal wants nothing more than to see you squirm.

6) Para Eyes

The Lake camera in Para Eyes

Para Eyes is the closest game on this list to I’m on Observation Duty. The gameplay follows the same multiple camera monitors, but adds a sanity meter you need to pay close attention to. It’s a similar mechanic to managing FNAF’s power in the first, second, and third games of the franchise. Para Eyes has a simpler design than I’m on Observation Duty, making it easier to digest and quick to master. Relying on right-click alone to remove the tiniest of anomalies, the difficulty is increased by anomaly spawn rate and new camera angles getting added. There’s a lot to keep track of, so learn each location as fast as you can if you want to keep your sanity in check.

7) Shinkansen 0

Looking down at the human intruder hiding under a train car chair

Created by Chilla’s Art, Shinkansen 0 is a very different take on the developer’s usual Japanese horror games. Trapped in a train car, you need to reach the conductor’s room to hit the brakes—but anomalies keep you from progressing. Unlike most anomaly-hunting games, Shinkansen 0 throws hostile entities your way. This creates an uneasiness as you play through, thus increasing its overall scare factor. Shinkansen 0 has both creepy and some difficult anomalies to spot. Wandering on the edge of life and death, Shinkansen 0 is a great game that features a variety of anomalies with different spawn rates, making it unpredictable, strengthening its trial-and-error gameplay.

8) Ten Bells

A hand poking out from the fireplace inside Ten Bells bar

Ten Bells feels both homely and unsettling, having a similar format to The Cabin Factory. A story is told through the anomalies, and it’s only by reaching the end or finding all the anomalies that you can truly understand what happened to the bar staff. It’s easy to keep track of your progress as you refer to the bells dinging at the start of every round, indicating how far along you are in completing the game. There are many anomalies to find, even after completing Ten Bells, giving you an incentive to jump back in. Ten Bells has a few scary moments and is less challenging than others on the list, but it’s a great little anomaly hunting game that’s easy to invest in and doesn’t take too much of your time.

9) The Cabin Factory

Trapped inside the bathroom with the protagonist reflected inside the mirror, holding the door shut

The Cabin Factory is a unique take on the anomaly-hunting subgenre, as anomalies are delivered through haunted cabins. You must determine whether the cabin you’ve loaded in is haunted or clean—and the only way to do so is by diving headfirst into the woodwork. Some anomalies are easy to spot, others require a thorough search. But what makes The Cabin Factory different is how it tells a story. Most Observation Duty-style games give you one task: find anomalies. But, The Cabin Factory shows you the family dynamic and what happened to each member as you discover different encounters of the same haunting.

10) The Exit 8

Looking at Exit 8 ending staircase

The most popular game in the spot-the-difference indie horror space is The Exit 8. Trapped in the same corridor of a subway, Exit 8 combines P.T. and Observation Duty gameplay together for a mind-bending experience. While there isn’t a story to sink into, you quickly want to find all anomalies that either hide in plain sight or try to trick you into making the wrong choice. With only two ways to go, you must determine if there’s an anomaly and act accordingly. The goal is to correctly pass through the station eight times to escape—but there’s always the feeling of something watching—trying to stop you from reaching the exit.

Satisfactory on Steam just got a sneaky upgrade, courtesy of the Steam Deck. Currently, Satisfactory is “Playable” on Steam Deck rather than “Verified.” This hasn’t changed, but the PC game did just get a major upgrade in this regard. The Satisfactory 1.1 Experimental Update v1.1.0.4 was recently released by Coffee Stain Studios, and it does a lot. Perhaps most notable though are the changes and improvements it has for Steam Deck users.

Firstly, the update improves the Steam Deck experience by making the default selection to be Controller when launching from a Steam Deck. This is the smaller of the two improvements though. The larger improvement is that Coffee Stain Studios has changed the default Steam controller configuration to be Gamepad with Camera controls instead of Mouse and Keyboard.

“If you have previously changed your default Controller configuration and are running into issues or would like to try the default controls, you will need to switch to the default suggested config (Gamepad with Camera Controls),” reads the patch notes.

When the popular Steam game will be Verified on Steam Deck, remains to be seen, but these two improvements presumably go a long way in getting to this point. In the meantime, the game remains “Playable” on Steam Deck. All in all, it runs pretty well on Steam Deck, but there can be issues and it requires a little too much user-end tinkering to optimize.

That said, the Steam Deck portion of the patch notes are regulated to the bottom of the patch notes, or close to it. Whether this means anything or not, we don’t know, but it signals that Steam Deck support is not a priority. And this is probably because it is not overly popular on Steam Deck as it is not entirely a great game to play on Steam Deck compared to more traditional methods.

ShiftUp’s hit action title Stellar Blade has finally secured a release date for its PC version, as well as its Complete Edition. Previously revealed to launch in Summer 2025 at the February State of Play, the action game has been renowned as one of 2024’s best titles for its impressive cinematics, gorgeous graphics, and thrilling story. Now, not only can PC players be able to get their hands on the game, but they will also get the full experience with the Complete Edition. Fortunately, the wait won’t be too much longer, as it has been announced that Stellar Blade will hit PC on June 11th.

With the release, PC gamers will be able to play the PS5 exclusive with AI upscaling and unlocked frame rate, as well as 25 brand new costumes and an entirely new boss battle. Alongside the PC launch of Stellar Blade, a Complete Edition will be available on both PC and PlayStation 5 on the same day, June 11th. Within it, you’ll get all of the pre-order bonuses and cosmetics, as well as the Goddess of War: Nikke collaboration and the Nier: Automata collaboration.

Stellar Blade will launch on Pc on June 11th, 2025.

Below are all of the additions the Complete Edition of Stellar Blade will have:

  • Complete Edition bonuses

  • Downloadable Content
    • Twin Expansion Pack
      • NieR: Automata DLC

  • Goddess of Victory: Nikke CD-Key
    • Outfit CD-key to redeem the same limited Stellar Blade costume in Goddess of Victory: Nikke free-to-play mobile game from SHIFT UP

When Stellar Blade was released in 2024, many critics enjoyed the thrilling combat and Nier-inspired worldbuilding, as well as the fantastic soundtrack. In our review of the title, in which we gave it a 4 out of 5 score, we said that it “boasts some surprisingly involved combat systems and fantastic creature designs all in a relatively compact experience.” Stellar Blade still remains of PlayStation 5’s best titles, and is one PC players will finally get to try out.

While the PC version of Stellar Blade, alongside Stellar Blade Complete Edition, will launch on June 11th, pricing info, as of now, has yet to be released. We should learn more on this front soon, though, so stay tuned.

Steam Deck is getting one of 2024’s best PS5 games next month, and it looks like not only will the game be playable on Steam Deck, but Steam Deck Verified. Recently, Steam Deck brought users back to the PS1 with a new Verified game, so it is fitting it is now going to balance out this nostalgic addition with a more modern addition that flexes the power and appeal of the PS5.

Last year, PlayStation fans were treated to exclusives likes of Astro Bot, Helldivers 2, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Silent Hill 2, and Stellar Blade. If you didn’t own a PS5, you were missing out, though a couple of these same games were available on PC. One that wasn’t and still isn’t is Stellar Blade. That said, this is set to change next month. There is still no precise release date for Stellar Blade on PC, but it is confirmed for June.

Ahead of this, the official Stellar Blade X account shared a video of Stellar Blade running on Steam Deck. The official Steam page for the game mentions Steam Deck compatibility as “Unknown,” but it is obvious it will at the very least be playable. In fact, if developer Shift Up is promoting the game on Steam Deck, and are already working on it, then it is safe to assume it will be Steam Deck Verified at launch.

For those unfamiliar with Stellar Blade, it is a PS5 exclusive that released on April 26, 2024 via South Korean developer Shift Up with the aid of PlayStation as the publisher. The action-adventure game initially garnered attention for its NSFW outfits its protagonist Eve can wear, but held everyone’s attention because of how good it is, as evident by its 81 on Metacritic and its Game Awards nominations for Best Action Game and Best Score/Music.

PC users can currently get three steam games for free, but only for a limited time. One of these Steam games normally costs $19.99 on Steam, but is 100% free to download and keep for a limited time. The other two Steam games were released as free games, but are being made into premium games in the near future. None of the three Steam games are related, but they are all free for a limited time at the same time.

The first free Steam game in question is Asterix & Obelix XXL: Romastered, which Steam users typically have to pay $20 for, but which Fanatical is giving away for free. All PC users have to do is subscribe to the Fanatical newsletter, which can be unsubscribed from at any time. That said, this deal is only available until May 15 or until supplies run dry, whichever becomes relevant first.

The second free Steam game is Furi Demake – The Chain, which has been available as a free download since November 30, 2023, but is going to start requiring a purchase on June 23. How much it will cost, remains to be seen.

The third and final free Steam game is The Flayed Man, which only released back on April 17 of this year, and has been free to download since its launch. However, this will change on May 17, though like Furi Demake, it is unclear how much it will cost following this change. Below, you can read more about it and the other two free Steam games.

Asterix & Obelix XXL: Romastered

Asterix & Obelix XXL: Romastered is a 2020 remaster of a 2003 action-adventure game that was notably only released on PS2, at least at launch. From OSome Studio and Microids, it has a 78% approval rating across 581 user reviews on Steam.

Furi Demake – The Chain

Furi Demake – The Chain from Sylph and The Game Bakers takes the first boss fight from the latter’s popular game, Furi, and turns into a standalone 90s-inspired 8-bit game. On Steam, the 2023 release has a 92% approval rating across 331 user reviews.

The Flayed Man

The Flayed Man is described as a “short narrative-driven point and click horror game,” from developer Snoring Dog Games. To date, it has 128 user reviews on Steam with a 90% approval rating.

Those on Steam Deck interested in any of these three free Steam games, here is what you need to know. Furi Demake – The Chain is Verified on Steam Deck, and it is the only Verified Steam Deck game here. Meanwhile, Asterix & Obelix XXL: Romastered is listed as Playable on Steam Deck, while the status of The Flayed Man on Steam Deck is listed as “Unknown.”

Epic Games Store has not one, but two free games this week, though neither is very consequential. Each of the Epic Games Store free games are available as of right now and until May 15, aka until next Thursday. As always, once claimed, each game is free to keep forever, but they have to be claimed and added to your EGS library before this deadline. Because after this deadline, they will be replaced with a new freebie, which this coming week are two “mystery” games.

The first of the two free Epic Games Store games this week is Touch Type Tale – Strategic Typing, which normally costs $20. From developer Pumpernickel Studio and publisher Mythwright, it released back on November 4, 2024. Right now, it has a 90% approval rating on Steam.

The other free Epic Games Store game this week is Deadtime Defenders, a 2020 release from Arcane Embers. Technically an Early Access game that costs $9.99, it has an 82% approval rating.

Touch Type Tale – Strategic Typing

“Your fingers… Yes, those. They are astonishingly nimble! I have never seen their like. Use them to type your way through a strategic challenge like no other,” reads an official description of the game. “Become the unlikely hero of Minsteria, whose vacant throne is vulnerable to the grasping hands of sly nobles and warmongering bandits.”

Deadtime Defenders

“Deadtime Defenders is an action-packed looter shooter with RPG elements,” reads an official description of the game. “A mysterious portal has unleashed chaos from alternate dimensions – and you’re humanity’s last line of defence. Go on missions looking for epic loot and eliminating enemies before heading back to HQ to rearm, debrief, and prepare for the next run!”

Between the two games, Epic Games Store users can save $30, however, this is assuming EGS users would pay full price for both games, or even one of the games. Neither are very popular and can be found on sale at various different times.

A very popular Steam game is finally Verified on Steam Deck following a recent update to the game. This means the Steam game has been tested on Steam Deck by Valve, who can in return confirm it is fully functional on Steam Deck. This includes working well with the built-in controls and display of the Steam Deck. Previously, the Steam game in question was playable on Steam Deck, but not Verified.

More specifically, action RPG meets top-down survival game V Rising is now Steam Deck Verified. For those that don’t know, V Rising debuted back in May 2022 in Steam Early Access before fully releasing last year. It is the junior effort from Swedish studio Stunlock Studios, who previously made 2011’s Bloodline Champions and 2017’s Battlerite.

Upon release, V Rising was an immediate commercial success, selling one million copies in less than a week, which has consequently put Stunlock Studios on the map. Bolstering this it has an 83 on Metacritic. Meanwhile, on Steam it has amassed a massive 95,451 user reviews, 89 percent of which are positive, giving the game a “Very Positive” rating on Steam. This is the second best rating a game can earn on Steam.

“Experience a Vampire Survival Action RPG adventure like no other,” reads the game’s official description on Steam. “Awaken as a weakened Vampire after centuries of slumber. Hunt for blood to regain your strength while hiding from the scorching sun to survive. Build a mighty castle worthy of your name and convert humans into loyal thralls to serve your growing empire. Pillage villages, raid bandit camps, and challenge supernatural beings, drinking their blood to steal their power. Make allies or enemies online or play solo locally and wage war in a world of conflict. Seize your destiny, defy Dracula, and rise as the ultimate predator to rule the night!”

Those that decide to check out V Rising on Steam Deck will force need to buy it. Right now, it is on sale for $17.49, thanks to a hefty 50 percent discount. Once bought and downloaded, Steam Deck users can expect a game that is 50 hours just to mainline. You will need to add another 10 to 15 hours if you want to experience the game’s side content. Meanwhile, completionists will need closer to 100 hours with the game.

Neopets Comeback 2025

For many gaming fans of a certain age, the word Neopets summons fond nostalgic memories. But despite being associated with those early internet days, Neopets has actually maintained an impressive fan base over the years. Back in 2023, it looked like the game might get shut down when its parent company closed, but instead, the Neopets Team took full ownership and managed to revamp the game and its fanbase along the way. Following the 2023 glow-up, Neopets saw a huge resurgence that continues to this day. And now, they’re taking that re-established success to a surprising new food collab to celebrate with fans.

Starting today, Neopets has announced an exciting new collab with U.S. chain It’s Boba Time. As its name suggests, this shop specializes in the popular drink, offering a variety of tasty boba milk teas throughout its 90+ locations across the country. Boba has become increasingly popular in the U.S. and seems especially beloved by cozy gamers, if the influx of new boba-themed games is any indication. While initially surprising, a Neopets x boba collab might make more sense than you think!

Neopets Boba
Neopets-inspired boba from It’s Boba Time

Throughout the month of May, It’s Boba Time is offering two exciting new, limited-edition Neopets-inspired drinks to celebrate the iconic collectible creatures and the fantasy world they inhabit. In addition to these drinks, It’s Boba Time will display decor themed after adorable baby Neopets, so fans can get on-theme photos with the colorful new drinks. In addition to the decor and drink items, there are a few rare collectibles for in- and out-of-game for players to enjoy.

Neopets Fans with Boba
Event photo from the Neopets x Its Boba Time Collab Launch

Anyone who buys the Neopets drink will get a sticker, so long as they follow the official Neopets account on Instagram. Those who spend more than $25 will get a Neopets pin, as well. And as for virtual rewards? Fans who stop by It’s Boba Time during the collab period will get a code to redeem for an exclusive Neopets x It’s Boba Time in-game item. This rare item is only available during the collab, making it a must-have for dedicated collectors in Neopets.

The event kicked off with an exciting event in LA, and now, Neopets fans can enjoy the exciting new collab at It’s Boba Time locations across the U.S. To find a location near you, you can visit the It’s Boba Time website and use their location finder. As for Neopets, you can find the beloved online game at Neopets.com.

A bunch of excellent Battlefield games are on sale for less than a cup of coffee. The Battlefield series is one of EA’s crowned jewels. It’s the series that has kept them competitive with other shooter franchises like Call of Duty, but also allowed them to carve out there own place in the genre. While Call of Duty focuses on small-scale, fast-paced battles, Battlefield prizes itself on teamplay and large cinematic battles with collapsing buildings, player-controlled vehicles, and much more. It’s a completely different experience and one that makes players swoon over its ambition. Of course, that ambition has hurt Battlefield in the past, but it seems like EA has learned to let DICE take its time.

The new Battlefield game is due out sometime within the next year and leaks have indicated it will be the biggest Battlefield to date. DICE seems to know that it has let fans down in past games and is doing its best to try and win them back, otherwise it could be fatal for the franchise’s future. DICE has also been pretty transparent by sharing work in progress footage of the game extremely early. Battlefield 6 recently highlighted its new destruction technology which will allow players the chance to tactically destroy their environment for dynamic gameplay opportunities. It looks great and is getting players in the mood for more Battlefield. While there’s still a bit of a wait, players can tide themselves over with older games in the series.

A brand new EA sale on Steam brings the Battlefield series down to its lowest prices with some of the best games in the series being $2 with all of their DLC. If you are looking to get back into Battlefield or start your journey, this is the best opportunity. Battlefield 4 still has a few thousand players playing it on Steam and Battlefield 1 has almost 10k active players on Steam, so these older games are still very alive and playable. You can view the Battlefield deals below.

Battlefield 2042 – $4.79 (92% off)

Despite having a pretty rocky launch, Battlefield 2042 has come a long way and is a pretty solid shooter, especially for less than $5. If you’re looking for the latest Battlefield experience and want to have a fun gaming night with some friends, 2042 is your game.

Battlefield 4 Premium Edition – $1.99 (95% off)

Battlefield 4 is arguably the best game in the franchise. With all of the DLC bundled in, this is an absolute steal for $2. This is as good as it gets with Battlefield thanks to amazing maps, satisfying gameplay, and a tremendous score. It’s also still widely played, so you shouldn’t have troubles finding a match.

Battlefield 1 Revolution (All DLC) – $1.99 (95% off)

Battlefield 1 takes the franchises signature scope and scale and applies it to World War I. With blimps, horses, and biplanes, it’s a whole new flavor of one of the best shooter franchises. Some would argue that this is the last great game in the series and admittedly, they probably wouldn’t be wrong.

Battlefield V Definitive Edition – $2.49 (95% off)

Similar to the last game, Battlefield V takes the series to World War II. Everything you know and love about the series when it comes to war spectacle is ever present here. While some were disappointed in this game, DICE once again tried to invest into it with updates to improve it. For less than $3, you can’t really go wrong.

Battlefield 3 Premium Edition – $1.99 (95% off)

Yet another classic, Battlefield 3 is one of the best games in the series. The 64-player combat along with iconic maps like Operation Metro and Caspian Border solidify it as one of the all-time great multiplayer shooters. On top of that, it has a pretty underrated campaign and a fun co-op mode if you can find a friend to play it with.

Battlefield Hardline Ultimate Edition – $1.99 (95% off)

Battlefield Hardline is perhaps one of the most unique Battlefield games as it isn’t a war game, it’s a cops and robbers game. Battlefield goes urban as players battle it out in the streets and suburbs of Los Angeles and the surrounding area with cop cars, muscle cars, and street bikes. It’s a pretty underrated Battlefield game developed by Visceral Games, the team behind Dead Space. If you’ve never played it, I highly recommend giving it a shot.

Schedule 1 is the biggest surprise of 2025. It and the release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. No one saw the success of the Steam game — which is made by one developer — coming. Absolutely no one. Yet, it hangs with AAA releases like Monster Hunter Wilds and Assassin’s Creed Shadows as one of the biggest releases of 2025, at least on Steam. That said, considering studio TVGS is a one-man show, there aren’t many expecting lots of new content to come to the game anytime soon, yet it looks like that is exactly what is in the pipeline.

During a recent developer livestream, TVGS — aka Tyler — previewed and teased various content in the works for the game. When any of this content will be released, remains to be seen, but it is in the works in some capacity, even if it just via the drawing board.

For example, we know a Police expansion and a Cartel expansion are in the works, and the former is going to have major changes to the police. To this end, it is claimed police will be a far more formidable force, with police activity increasing across the board. This includes both local cops, but also an escalation system that includes a DEA, helicopters, and more. It is also said players will be able to bribe and corrupt the police.

Meanwhile, the Cartel update is supposedly going to make the mansion property obtainable, though players won’t purchase it through the property seller.

Related, TVGS wants to add more gameplay opportunities for “shenanigans,” citing activities such as breaking into cars and breaking into buildings to steal money. This will be aided by new weapons being added, including semi-automatic guns and melee weapons like a gold club and a pool noodle.

Other new additions mentioned is weather types, a new flatbed truck that will be added alongside the driver employee, fishing, and a fully functional forklift. For those interested, you can read more about these specific additions, the ones mentioned above, and others via a Reddit post that collected all the new insight and information shared in the aforementioned developer livestream.

Again, what is missing from all this new information are timelines. Meanwhile, everything here should be taken with a grain of salt because it’s either all a work in progress or just ideas right now, both of which are subject to change.

Schedule 1 is available via the PC and the PC only. For more coverage on the popular Steam game — including all of the latest Schedule 1 news, all of the latest Schedule 1 rumors and leaks, and all of the latest Schedule 1 speculation — click here.

The latest Steam Deck Verified games bring players back to the early days of PS1 and SEGA nostalgia. Verified in Steam Deck terms means Valve has tested the Steam game in question and can ensure not only does it run on the handheld PC, but that it runs completely and well on Steam Deck. This is the difference between a game listed as “Playable” on Steam Deck and a game listed as “Verified.” That said, Steam Deck has a new batch of Verified games.

One of the highlights of the latest Steam Deck Verified games is Lunar Remastered Collection, which came to Steam back on April 18. For those unfamiliar with the collection, it includes Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete. The former is a 1996 release, and a remake of 1992’s Lunar: The Silver Star, the first game in the Lunar series. The game technically debuted in 1996, but only in Japan and the Sega Saturn. Many know it as a PS1 game though, because in 1999 it came west, but not via the Sega Saturn, but via the PS1.

Meanwhile, Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete is a sequel to Lunar: Silver Star. It debuted in 1994, but again only in Japan, and this time via the Sega CD. Then in 1995, this version of the game came west. And then in 1999, it came to the PS1, but only in Japan. The following year the PS1 version came west though.

Lunar Remastered Collection is a remaster of both of these games from Ashibi Co. and GungHo Online Entertainment. The developer, for those that don’t know, is notably different, as the original games were made by Game Arts.

“Dive into the enchanting worlds of Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete,” reads an official description of the collection on Steam. “Tag along on Alex and Hiro’s quests and challenge enemies like the Magic Emperor and God of Destruction to save the world from dire peril in two adventures set 1000 years apart from each other!”

On Steam and Steam Deck, Lunar Remastered Collection costs $49.99. For more Steam Deck coverage — including all of the latest Steam Deck news, all of the latest Steam Deck rumors and leaks, and all of the latest Steam Deck deals — click here.

Classic Star Wars games are now available for free, for some. In the modern era, Star Wars video games are in a weird place. Beyond the Star Wars Jedi series, studios have taken many stabs at Star Wars, but ultimately have come up short. Some recent examples of this includes 2024’s Star Wars Outlaws, 2020’s Star Wars Squadrons, and 2024’s Star Wars: Hunters. Meanwhile, the popular Star Wars Battlefront series has been on ice since 2017. Suffice to say, it is not the best time to be a Star Wars video game fan. And of course, this is a stark contrast to the late 90s, early 2000s, and even mid 2000s when it was a great time to be a Star Wars video game fan. To this end, those that prefer Star Wars games from yesteryear will be happy to know some of these games are now available for free with an Amazon Prime subscription, courtesy of Prime Gaming.

More specifically, Prime Gaming is giving out free PC codes to all Amazon Prime subscribers for the following Star Wars games: LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga and Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds.

The former was released back in 2007 and follows the events of the first six episodes of the Skywalker Saga. It was released by Traveler’s Tales, and garnered an 80 on Metacritic at the time. Meanwhile, the latter is a 2001 release from LucasArts itself. A PC-only release, it is a real-time strategy game that garnered a 75 on Metacritic back at its own release. Included with this offer is the expansion pack, Clone Compaigns.

Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds Saga

“The destiny of a galaxy hangs in the balance, and you are in command,” reads an official description of the game. “Lead the great armies of the Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones saga in intense real-time strategy clashes. Enter the fray as the Galactic Empire, Rebel Alliance, Wookies, Trade Federation, Gungans or Royal Naboo to determine the course of the Galactic Civil War. Expand the battlefield with the Clone Campaigns addon. Choose to play as the breakaway Confederacy of Independent Systems or the Galactic Republic in 14 missions based on characters, vehicles and locations from Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones.”

LEGO Star Wars – The Complete Saga

“Kick Some Brick in I through VI! Play through all six Star Wars movies in one video game,” reads an official description of the game. “Adding new characters, new levels, new features and for the first time ever, the chance to build and battle your way through a fun Star Wars galaxy on your PC!”

Both of these offers are available until June 4. Once claimed, they are both free to keep. That said, it is worth noting you will need a GOG account to redeem both codes, which can be found here.

Steam has a new free game that anyone on PC with a Steam account can download for free, play for free, and keep for free. Those on Steam Deck, specifically, may or may not run into issues trying to play the new release though. Right now, Steam Deck compatibility is listed as “Unknown” on the game’s Steam page. Speaking of the game’s Steam page, it notes that Steam Deck compatibility issues or being worked on and should be resolved soon. Until then, Steam Deck users may want to prepare for significant problems trying to run the game on the handheld Valve machine.

As for the free Steam game in question, it is Wuthering Waves from Kuro Games. Those that recognize this name may be because it debuted last year, on PC and mobile devices, before making its console debut back on January 2 via the PS5 and the PS5 only. However, while it has been available on PC since last year, it was not available via Steam. This changed back on April 28 though.

A free-to-play open-world action-RPG, Wuthering Waves comes from the aforementioned Kuro Games, a Chinese studio. It draws inspirations from the likes of Death Stranding, Pokemon, and Punishing: Gray Raven. However, it draws the most comparisons to Genshin Impact. To this end, it is very much a Gacha game.

At last year’s The Game Awards, it was notably nominated for Player’s Voice and Best Mobile Game, though it did not win either. On Metacritic, meanwhile, its review scores have been underwhelming, but its review score with Steam users has been far more positive. On Steam, so far, it has amassed 6,825 user reviews, 89 percent of which are positive. This gives the game a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, which is the second highest rating a game can earn on Steam.

“Wuthering Waves is a story-rich open-world action RPG with a high degree of freedom,” reads an official description of the game on Steam, for those unfamiliar with it. “You wake from your slumber as Rover, joined by a vibrant cast of Resonators on a journey to reclaim your lost memories and change the world.”

“As someone who’s sunk countless hours into Genshin Impact, jumping into Wuthering Waves felt instantly familiar — but not in a bad way,” reads the top user review for the game on Steam. “The core structure echoes Genshin’s open-world exploration and team-based combat, which makes it easy to pick up. But what surprised me was just how much deeper the systems run here.”

Those that decide to check out Wuthering Waves should prepare for a game that is about 20 hours long, though this numbers climbs to 60-70 hours if you inject the game’s side content. Completionists, meanwhile, will need closer to 215 hours with the game.

The Epic Games Store has a new free PC game now available to download, and available all the way until May 8, aka next Thursday. After this, it will be replaced with a new free offer. If the PC game is claimed within this window though, it is free to keep forever. And as always, there are no subscriptions required like there is with PS Plus free games or Xbox Game Pass free games or Nintendo Switch Online free games. All PC users need is an EGS account, which costs nothing.

This week’s Epic Games Store free game is Super Space Club from GrahamOfLegend, which not only made the game, but published it. Normally the game costs $14.99, and according to Steam user reviews, it’s pretty good. On Steam, the PC game notably has a 94% approval rating, though this is across a small sample size of 36 reviews. Meanwhile, it does not have any Metacritic data available.

“Super Space Club is a colorful endless arcade gunner set to the backdrop of chill, lo-fi music. As a club of skilled misfit pilots, defend the galaxy by taking on galactic forces and completing a series of thrilling missions. In space, everyone can hear you groove.”

The game’s official description continues: “Sling fireworks with the explosive Olly, or dish out ship-seeking shots with the stealthy Roscoe? With a variety of pilots, ships, and weapons at your disposal, choose the perfect build and soar across the stars through physics-based thrusting. As you’re taking down enemies and completing objectives, be wary of your ship’s energy. Depleting energy could leave you vulnerable to devastating damage. Don’t get too comfortable after coming out on top, as the next wave is always right around the corner.”

There isn’t any data on how long Super Space Club is, for those that decide to check it out now that it is free on the Epic Games Store. However, the bulk of the Steam User Reviews for the game are from players with 2-10 hours with the shooter, so expect something within this range.

Amanda the Adventurer centers around Riley and her aunt Kate, who passed away (approximately eight months prior to the events of the first game), leaving a house full of mysteries and cursed tapes of a forgotten TV show as Riley’s inheritance. Curious, Riley started watching old recordings of the show left in Kate’s attic, only to find there’s something nefarious going on with its leading stars.

Able to communicate with their transfixed watchers, Amanda and Wooly hypnotize their young audience, who disappear following prolonged exposure to the show. The tapes were teaching children adult themes that parents would be wary and suspicious of. The show stripped away parental authority, manipulated the viewer, and divided families.

With Amanda the Adventurer 3 confirmed, you probably need a refresher on the strange and complex lore this series delivers. So here is everything you should know about Amanda the Adventurer before the third and final game releases in 2025.

Amanda the Adventurer Story As We Know It

A thorough investigation in Kate Park’s attic shows she was researching Hameln and the cursed show, having contacted Amanda, where she developed a fondness for her. Jordan Cook was one of many missing kids that was obsessed with the show. His sister, Joanne, worked with Kate to investigate the tapes in hopes that she could find and free her brother. There were behavioral complaints at Jordan’s school before he disappeared, showcasing the negative effect the show had on him and other children.

There isn’t anything significant in the tapes Riley watched in the first game, aside from Amanda “killing” Wooly towards the end of the game. However, we get a hint that Amanda (or someone she knows) is rotting, “but it’s far away.” The main takeaway from the first game is that there’s a monster connected to the tapes with similar features to Amanda. Are they one and the same?

Another missing child was Lauren, last seen watching an Amanda episode on her birthday before suddenly vanishing when her mom turned the camera away. The television has a unique grasp on our reality and is able to manipulate it, as seen with puzzle-related objects appearing and disappearing around Riley. The show can bridge the gap between both realms for the child to cross over to the show by transforming any door into a gateway.

The secret tapes in the first game reveal Rebecca communicated with something only she could hear (telepathic control?), following a repeated sequence: Bye Yell, Pie Man, and Baa Lamb. Amanda the Adventurer appears to be fragments of Amanda’s memories, perhaps based on her real life with her father. A glimpse into the fractured memories, flashes of rotten flesh, operating lights, and figures occasionally pop up before the show’s title screen.

The first game concludes with Riley breaking the tape and a Masked Figure appearing behind her. This is Joanne Cook. She wants to destroy the remaining tapes and takes Riley to Kensdale Public Library (the setting of Amanda the Adventurer 2). Riley continues investigating the tapes, where we see more of Amanda’s monster. Wooly returns and he’s perfectly fine, as if Amanda has tried to get rid of him before, but keeps failing.

Unlike the first game, however, Amanda’s patience for Wooly has worn thin, but she’s not as aggressive as she was before. She seems defeated, like a part of her was destroyed with the tape in Kate’s attic. Hints of Amanda remembering her past and real identity appear, but are quickly silenced by Wooly, who acts like a villain this time around. As Amanda doesn’t remember properly, should we take everything she says as gospel, or has she been conditioned to believe these as facts? The only true thing we know is that Amanda liked Kate.

Amanda the Adventurer 2 wraps up with Joanne being killed by a monster (Amanda in the default ending, Wooly in the secret ending) after destroying a tape, where a light releases from the film. This references one of the most important quotes in the game, said by the Meatman: “Close your eyes. Count down from ten. You may feel this pinch. We at Hameln believe every child has a light within.” If Joanne is killed by Wooly, you can faintly hear Amanda screaming for him to stop, right before the credits roll. Amanda’s monster killed Joanne swiftly while Wooly tortured her, giving Joanne an excruciating death.

Kate’s house is then burned down and Riley is told to run as Joanne takes the fall after blaming herself for Kate’s death. She gives her one last tape and Riley retreats into the hatch behind Kate’s office. The third game will investigate the underground facility, likely being the holding place for Rebecca, Sam, and perhaps other missing kids like Jordan. The problem with this is that everything Riley has gone through has felt like she, too, is being lured like every other kid who watched the show. Does Riley have any autonomy in this situation, or are we too falling for a trap, led by Amanda, and orchestrated by Hameln?

There’s also the mystery of how an underground facility was built under the library without Kate’s knowledge. We know she was investigating Hameln and the occult, so did she somehow not know an entire facility was built underneath her workplace? Something is off here. Kate’s final words, recorded on a cassette player, reveal that everyone who investigated Hameln died trying to destroy the tapes.

Amanda the Adventurer Origin Story

Amanda the Adventurer was a children’s television programme created by Sam Colton in 2001, starring his adopted daughter, Rebecca, as the lead star. Although the pair had just moved to a new neighborhood, Sam’s show quickly became a hit and spread throughout the town like wildfire. Picked up by Kensdale Public Library (the same place Kate worked), Amanda the Adventurer quickly became a sought-after product. Reading stories to kids at the library, Sam and Kate would plug the television show, and later be approached by a Hameln representative.

Sam and Rebecca suspiciously disappeared in 2002. Secret tapes showed Rebecca at (estimated) five years old, signing a contract without an adult or guardian present. We have confirmation that Rebecca was transported into the show, who became Amanda’s voice and body. It appears that only her soul was transported, however, as Rebecca was shown in one of the secret tapes—unconscious inside a facility with hazardous containers nearby and electrical equipment.

Seemingly in an induced coma, kept alive by dialysis, Rebecca’s consciousness was placed inside the show. But what for? Other children disappeared off the face of the Earth, yet Rebecca’s body remains severed from her “light” (soul).

We know Amanda is petrified of the Meatman, who we’re sure is the lead Hameln surgeon that performed surgery to put Rebecca’s mind in the show. Any mention of the butchers scares Amanda, where the face of the Meatman is distorted and wrong, demonstrating her fuzzy memories and how this experience traumatized her. In her young mind, this man cutting children up for the “incisions” manifested as the Meatman (or butcher).

14 years had passed since the Colton’s disappearance, where Riley’s story began. This would now make Rebecca between 18-20 years old. The question arises whether the monster we see is of a malnourished and warped version of Rebecca, or if they are something undead brought to life with Rebecca’s soul. Ritualistic imagery of Wooly and Amanda being an amalgamation of an all-knowing and all-powerful being implies both characters are connected and a part of something bigger.

What We Know About Hameln: Past and Symbolism

Hameln is the evil production company and overarching antagonist of the story. The perfect façade, Hameln picked up Amanda the Adventurer to brainwash children into ignoring their parents. The company is said to be a group that was active in the Middle Ages. The logo and name of the company link directly to the Pied Piper, set in Hamelin, Germany. In the tale, the Pied Piper promised to rid the town of rats, but he lured children instead when the residents refused to pay him for his troubles. The show follows a similar format, punishing parents by stealing away their children. But we don’t have confirmation on what exactly happened to the missing children.

We theorize they have some part to play in the show, but when it’s centered around Amanda and Wooly, the missing children’s roles are minuscule. These are likely the googly eyes you see across the set; a breathing barn, pulsating bacon, and rolling bread—all sporting wide, terrified eyes. One of the endings in Amanda the Adventurer shows Riley turning into meat in the butcher’s, confirming that anything with googly eyes is alive. It looks like the child has to promise to help Amanda or accept an invitation to be pulled into the cartoonish world.

The googly eyes theory would also link to the Masked Figure’s appearance, revealed to be Joanne, who covers her eyes. Clearly, the tapes have powers beyond comprehension that can go into the material realm to take things (children or eyes). After all, eyes are the window to the soul.

We theorize Joanne purposely covered her eyes so she couldn’t be hypnotized. Maybe your attention is all Hameln needs to tuck you away inside some dark corner of the show. In more secret tapes, Kate, Caroline (whose family spent years investigating an ancient cult), and Peter turned the television screen to face the wall after something bad happened to their last group member, David. Clearly, they were paranoid, but could they be onto something?

There is also symbolism of the animals in Amanda the Adventurer, but we’re not sure how relevant they are to the story. The lamb is obedient, submissive, and innocent, which perfectly describes Wooly’s surface-level character. Also described as a scapegoat, Wooly could be a pawn we’re led to believe is far worse than he actually is. Meanwhile, the opossum represents wisdom and surprise, which strengthens his link to Jordan. Sadly, Joanne will never know if the opossum is her brother, as she was recognized only by her voice coming through the walkie-talkie.

Where Are the Coltons?

It is confirmed that Rebecca is Amanda, but who she was is long forgotten as a decade has passed since she was first confined. Brainwashed, coerced, and controlled, it’s clear Rebecca now believes the fabricated world she lives in is reality. With Wooly keeping her in check, we have to wonder if he’s protecting Rebecca, Riley, or himself. Sam, on the other hand, is implied to be dead, but the games haven’t confirmed this yet.

There are links to Sam and Wooly with the secret tape of Wooly’s Herd of Mouth show that never aired, and Sam’s Read-a-Thons he held at Kinsdale Library. Sam was kept prisoner by Hameln, where he had to record messages to send to Rebecca, as he wasn’t allowed to see her. We presume Sam attempted his escape but got caught.

What Are the Monsters?

We are no closer to figuring out exactly what the monsters are, but Amanda the Adventurer 3 will have answers, as this is the final game in the series. What we have learned, however, is that Wooly is also a monster and Amanda is scared of him. This is very different from the Wooly and Amanda we see in the show. Both creatures are multi-eyed humanoid monsters that can only communicate in animalistic wails. They are very aggressive and seem to be controlled by their television counterpart.

There have been many links to ancient evil deities with Bael, Paimon, Baalam, Belial, Mara, and Iblis; the last three being mentioned by Kate’s group in their secret recordings. The scariest part of these recordings is knowing everyone involved died, likely at the hands of Hameln. The group noticed sigils grew more frequent in later episodes, which Kate noted would be required for “energy transfers” (moving energy from one place to another).

These demons are linked to delusions, control, luring the “wicked” and “worthless” into a web, far from what we know to be reality. This world would best describe the television show—that steals souls and replaces them with demonic entities. But why would Hameln want this? The idea of Hameln taking a deal with the devil would imply the show took off, giving them fortune and popularity, but this never truly happened.

Amanda the Adventurer Theories

As we don’t have confirmation, the strongest theory that’ll likely be confirmed in the final game is that the opossum is Jordan. I also think Jordan was the young boy in the tape where Sam is approached by a Hameln rep. The best evidence for Jordan being the opossum is him recognizing Joanne’s voice and trying to call out her name in the Do You Feel Safe? tape.

The opossum was mischievous and confused a lot of the time, causing havoc on Amanda’s adventures. I think this is because he doesn’t know where he is and is trying to get help, asking the only other person who can walk and talk in the show—Amanda. Jordan isn’t meant to be in the show, which is obvious because of Amanda and Wooly’s confusion whenever the opossum appears. So, how did Jordan get a body when other kids are trapped as googly-eyed inanimate objects?

We have confirmation that Kate died in a car crash, but how did the tape get inside her office without being planted by someone else? Surely this means someone murdered Kate and staged the scene so they could take her body? There is a chance (albeit small) that Kate is still alive. We don’t know if Kate’s body was ever uncovered, but Riley knew at the start of the first game that her aunt had died because she sent her a letter to play the tapes.

But what of Sam? I believe he escaped from his confinement after hearing Hameln authorization code and tried to leave the facility, and searched for Rebecca along the way. Amanda mentioned a “trap,” where imagery with a dead fox and an imprisoned cat was often shown in the first game, alongside buried clothes in the second. A popular theory is that Wooly is an antagonist, being a wolf in sheep’s clothing, which is appropriate for his monstrous appearance at the end of Amanda the Adventurer 2. But I still believe Wooly is Sam.

The trap mentioned in the first game may have been about Sam being tricked into believing he could escape, where his body was disposed of in the woods, but his mind was extracted and placed in the show. Wooly appears beside Amanda at all times, but she doesn’t want him there. She used to trust Wooly and Sam, clearly feeling betrayed by both. If Sam is Wooly, he didn’t get the same treatment as Rebecca. This would make his mind fractured, but he’d be aware enough to know and take care of Amanda, creating an overly protective character with murderous tendencies. Rebecca also wouldn’t recognize her dad if he’s her co-star.

I believe Riley is being lured by Amanda, who is fulfilling her role as the Pied Piper; much like Sam and Kate unknowingly did when they brought children to the library and told them to watch the show. I think the third game will reveal Hameln wants Riley to become the third and final sacrifice to complete whatever ritual the company had planned years ago. Amanda and Wooly are trapped inside the tapes, yet their monster counterparts aren’t free either. They are seemingly attached to the show by an invisible cord, caught in the web. Maybe Riley is the final sacrificial pawn for the demons to roam free.

A controversial video game series is being removed from Steam in a substantial delisting, or at least most of it is. An exact delisting date has not been provided, but it will happen “soon” according to the series’ publisher. Once this happens, the PC games will no longer be available to be purchased, however, those with them in their Steam libraries will be able to continue to play all seven games. As for why the PC games are being delisted from Steam, we don’t know. There has been no explanation provided. Typically when games non-online games are delisted though, it is because of licensing issues.

The series in question is the controversial and long-running series Leisure Suit Larry. To this end, and more specifically, the following seven games are being removed from sale from Steam: Leisure Suit Larry – Magna Cum Laude Uncut and Uncensored, Leisure Suit Larry 1 – In the Land of the Lounge Lizards, Leisure Suit Larry 2 – Looking For Love (In Several Wrong Places), Leisure Suit Larry 3 – Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals, Leisure Suit Larry 5 – Passionate Patti Does a Little Undercover Work, Leisure Suit Larry 6 – Shape Up Or Slip Out, and Leisure Suit Larry 7 – Love for Sail.

While seven games is a lot, this is actually not the entire series. Leisure Suit Larry – Wet Dreams Don’t Dry and Leisure Suit Larry – Wet Dreams Dry Twice are set to remain available for purchase on Steam.

“After decades of questionable pickup lines and unforgettable adventures, it’s finally time for Larry to hang up his leisure suit—at least the retro version of it,” reads the announcement from Assemble Entertainment. “Thanks for keeping Larry company all these years—he couldn’t have done it without you!

For those unfamiliar with the series, Leisure Suit Larry is an adult-themed comedy adventure series known for its sexual content. It debuted all the way back in 1987, at the time, via Sierra Entertainment. The seven games being removed from Steam comprise the classic series that ran from 1987 to 2004. Meanwhile, the two games remaining on Steam are from the modern reboot that began in 2018 and continued in 2020. Meanwhile, the bridge game between these two eras — Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust — has never been available on Steam, hence the lack of news on it.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure Update

Update: The release date for Hello Kitty Island Adventure‘s May Content update has been edited to reflect the fact that the update does not arrive on Nintendo Switch consoles until May 22nd. It is available now via Steam.

Many cozy gamers and Animal Crossing fans have fallen in love with Hello Kitty Island Adventure since it arrived on Nintendo Switch and Steam earlier this year. The open-world Sanrio game offers plenty of cute, casual gameplay with gifting, decorating, and more. The release date for Elden Ring Nightreign is fast approaching, with just about a month to go until the game drops on May 30th. Now, PC gamers can officially check to see whether their rig will be able to run the game, as Bandai Namco has released the PC specs for Elden Ring Nightreign. As of now, there is no official benchmark test to run, so gamers will want to review the specs and check them against their gaming PC to determine if the latest Elden Ring will be able to run on their system.

In a Soulsborne game like Elden Ring Nightreign, it’s important to be able to react quickly in those tough boss battles. For many gamers, that means making sure their gaming PC will be able to smoothly run the game without staggering or lag so they can dodge and attack without getting tripped up by poor performance. Now, about a month out from the game’s release, Bandai Namco has unveiled the PC specs so gamers can decide whether to pre-order the game on PC. The post from Bandai Namco includes both the minimum and recommended specs for Elden Ring Nightreign.

If that image is a bit tricky to read, let’s break down what’s included in the minimum and recommended PC specs.

Minimum PC Specs for Elden Ring Nightreign

Here are the minimum required specs, which should run the game but may require adjusting to lower graphics settings, etc, to work well.

  • Operating System: Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-10600 or AMD Ryzen 5 5500
  • Memory: 12GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060 3 GB or AMD Radeon RX 580 4GB
  • DirectX: DirectX 12 (Feature Level 12.0)
  • Storage: 30GB
  • Sound Card: Windows-Compatible Audio Device

For the best performance, your PC should meet these recommended specs to really run Elden Ring Nightreign as intended:

  • Operating System: Windows 11
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-11500 or AMD Ryzen5 5600
  • Memory: 16GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8 GB or AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 8 GB
  • DirectX: DirectX 12 (Feature Level 12.0)
  • Storage: 30GB
  • Sound Card: Windows-Compatible Audio Device
Some of elden ring nightreign’s classes

If your PC meets the minimum or required specs, you should be all set to play Elden Ring Nightreign when it comes out on May 30th. It is still available for pre-order for both the standard and deluxe editions, including the pre-order perks.

As of now, Steam Deck compatibility for Elden Ring Nightreign is unknown. So, it’s unclear if the game will run well or at all on Valve’s handheld device. For those who don’t have a gaming PC that meets the PC specs, Elden Ring Nightreign will also be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. A Switch 2 port has not yet been confirmed, but as FromSoftware’s new Duskbloods game will be a Switch 2 console exclusive, it’s fairly likely we could eventually see Elden Ring Nightreign on Switch 2, as well.

One of 2025’s best-rated games is already on sale for a limited time, right as it released. That’s right, the turn-based RPG smash hit Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which launched today, has already been given a big discount on one of its platforms. A homage to classic RPGs like Final Fantasy and Persona, Expedition 33 brings the joy of old turn-based combat with the flair of modern controls and visuals, all with a stellar soundtrack. However, the deal won’t last long, so if you’re interested in purchasing it, now may be the best time to do so before, like those affected by the Gommage, will disappear into oblivion.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which came out today, is tied with Blue Prince as the highest-rated game of 2025 on Metacritic at 92. It beat out multiple other big name titles this year like Split Fiction, Monster Hunter Wilds, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. As the debut game from indie studio Sandfall Interactive, Expedition 33 is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, as well as Xbox Game Pass if you’re a subscriber. Luckily for PC players, one site has a deal on the already cheaply priced RPG that feels as good as scoring a parry.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Is On Sale for Steam for One Week Only

Fanatical, known for collecting all the best deals for PC, has conjured up a huge sale on some of this year’s newest releases, like The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, as part of their Level Up Sale. One of those games is, of course, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Both versions of the game, Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition, are discounted by 20% off the retail price. For the Standard Edition, the game is priced at $39.99 instead of $49.99, with the Deluxe Edition priced at $47.99 instead of $59.99. The link for the deal can be found here.

It’s important to note that the deal is only available for PC via Steam. Also, the deal is currently available for a week, ending on May 1st. Purchasing the deal on Fanatical will grant you a code which you can then redeem on Steam, so make sure you have the program before purchasing.

If you haven’t heard of it, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a brand new original game by the 30-person team at Sandfall Interactive. Featuring an all-star cast like Daredevil’s Charlie Cox, Baldur’s Gate 3’s Jennifer English, and The Lord of the Rings’ Andy Serkis, players will follow the journey of Expedition 33. Their mission? To kill the Paintress, a god-like being with the power to kill everyone of a certain age. With fresh turn-based combat, you’ll take on many dangerous and otherworldly threats, meet new party members, and, hopefully, finish what the other Expeditions couldn’t do and slay the Paintress once and for all.

We at ComicBook reviewed the game and gave it a 4.5 out of 5, stating that “Sandfall Interactive’s debut game is one of this year’s must-play games and is a passionate, pitch-perfect homage to classic turn-based RPGs.” Given that it just came out and will likely be the talk of the scene for a while, especially during award season, it might be the best time to meet Expedition 33 and slay the Paintress. It’s already been greenlit for a feature film, so even more fun is to be had with the new series. Even with it being $49.99 at its base price, 20% off is definitely a great way to have some great RPG fun at a cost that won’t break the bank too much. As a reminder, the PC-only deal on Fanatical ends on May 1st at 3 pm EST and can be found here.

Are you interested in playing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33? Have you played it yet? If so, how are you enjoying it so far? Let us know in the comments below! Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, as well as Xbox Game Pass.

There are two releases attracting all the attention this week. Both games are on Steam, but only one supports the Steam Deck. In fact, the one is Verified on Steam Deck, and has been since launch. The other game is listed as Unsupported by Valve, which specifically notes the game’s graphics settings can not be configured to run well on Steam Deck. Unfortunately, this is increasingly common with the Steam Deck. More and more major releases are supporting the handheld right out the gate, but there is still a large number of notable releases either taking a while to add Steam Deck support or sometimes skipping it entirely.

The good news first. Those on Steam Deck who want to revisit 2006 and one of the best RPGs of its time via The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered can do so because not only does the game run on Steam Deck, but is Verified for Steam Deck. This means the game is “fully functional on Steam Deck, and works great with the built-in controls and display.”

Here’s the bad news, those hoping to check out Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 on Steam Deck will find it unsupported. The new RPG from Sandfall Interactive has been garnering some attention thanks to its 92 on Metacritic, which makes it the joint highest-rated game of 2025, at least so far. Unfortunately, it is Unsupported on Steam Deck, and there is no word of this changing.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered

“The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered modernizes the 2006 Game of the Year with all new stunning visuals and refined gameplay,” reads an official description of the game. “Explore the vast landscape of Cyrodiil like never before and stop the forces of Oblivion from overtaking the land in one of the greatest RPGs ever from the award-winning Bethesda Game Studios.”

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

“Once a year, the Paintress wakes and paints upon her monolith. Paints her cursed number. And everyone of that age turns to smoke and fades away,” reads an official description of the game. “Year by year, that number ticks down and more of us are erased. Tomorrow she’ll wake and paint ’33.’ And tomorrow we depart on our final mission – Destroy the Paintress, so she can never paint death again. We are Expedition 33.”

The Epic Games Store has a new free PC game this week available to all EGS users, per usual. Also per usual, the download is only available until the following Thursday, which in this case is May 1. Once claimed, EGS users can keep the game in their libraries perpetually, however, it has to be claimed within this window, because once this window expires the PC game will revert back to its normal price.

This week’s free Epic Games Store game is a comedy adventure game called Chuchel, a 2018 release from Anamita Design. Upon release seven years ago, it notably garnered a solid Metacritic score of 81. Pairing with this, it has a Very Positive Steam User Review rating, thanks to 83 percent of 3,374 user reviews rating the PC game positively. Of course, these reviews are free of the influence of it being free because they come from Steam where it has never been free.

“Chuchel is a comedy adventure game from the creators of Machinarium, Botanicula and Samorost,” reads an official description of the new EGS free game for those unfamiliar with it. “Join the hairy hero Chuchel and his rival Kekel as they will be facing numerous puzzles and challenges in their quest to retrieve the precious cherry! The reward? Cheerful situational humor, wild music and sounds by the band DVA and dozens of hilarious gags that warm up even the coldest of souls. Plus cherries!”

Those that decide to check out Chuchel now that it is free to download and keep on PC via the Epic Games Store should expect a game that is only about two to three hours long, hence why it is only $9.99 normally.

“Like the Minions on meth. Very fun and weird game,” reads one of the aforementioned user reviews on Steam. “I have played the whole game, very nice design, very nice game, I can recommend it,” reads another positive user review.

Sega fans have been surprised with a new free download, courtesy of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii and Steam. Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii released back on February 21 as a spin-off entry in the Like a Dragon series, formerly known as the Yakuza series. It notably takes place months after the events of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and is the latest release in the series. Upon release, it garnered Metacritic scores ranging from 79 to 89, varying platform to platform.

That said, while the game is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X, the new freebie is only relevant to those who own the PC version on Steam. More specifically, those on Steam — until August 26 — can save 100% on the Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii – Kazuma Kiryu Special Outfit, aka download it for free rather than pay the normal $1.99 asking price. Of course, you need the base game to redeem this offer.

“Add-on for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii allowing you to change into Kazuma Kiryu’s iconic ‘Dragon of Dojima’ outfit,” reads an official description of the add-on.

At the moment of publishing, there is no word if there is any intention to make this freebie available to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X users. If it was going to be made free on these platforms though, it would have presumably been made free alongside being made free on Steam. In other words, we don’t expect console users to get this freebie.

For more coverage on all things Sega — including all of the latest Sega news, all of the latest Sega rumors and leaks, and all of the latest Sega speculation — click here.

“Overall, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is a swashbuckling adventure fans will love to dive into,” reads a snippet from our official review of the new Yakuza game. “Despite some hiccups with the story and graphics, there’s a lot to like with the title. RGG Studio continues its success story, putting Majima in the well-deserved spotlight for what is one of 2025’s most eccentric yet charming games so far.”

A new deal on Steam had made one of the best platforming games ever available for under $1. On virtually a weekly basis, Valve’s Steam marketplace for PC has one deal or another that is just too good to pass up. Occasionally, some Steam games will be discounted to nothing at all, at which point users can add them to their digital library for free. And while this new deal in question isn’t entirely free, it’s about as close as you can get.

As of this week, developer Double Fine Productions has slashed the price of Psychonauts by an enormous amount. Originally released in 2005, Psychonauts was a critical hit when it arrived and boasts an impressive 88/100 aggregate score on Metacritic. The platformer went on to be so beloved that it eventually spawned a sequel, Psychonauts 2, that launched in 2021 and was equally well-received.

Now, as a way of celebrating the 20th anniversary of Psychonauts, Double Fine is selling the game for cheaper than ever. Currently, Psychonauts is available on Steam for the paltry price of $0.89. This represents a discount of 91% from its typical cost of $9.99. This deal is set to last only a few more days and will be running until Saturday, April 26th.

An action-RPG from 2023 unexpectedly finds itself in the top 10 best-selling Steam games chart following a recent update. Considering the Steam game in question only has a 77 on Metacritic, and has a “Mixed” rating on Steam, it is surprising to see it among the best-selling Steam games. However, the combination of its recent — and major — 2.0 update and its 67 percent discount that knocks the game down from $69.99 to $23.09 until May 1. More than this, the Steam game is also Steam Deck “Verified,” which means Valve has tested the game on Steam Deck, and can ensure it runs well on the handheld Valve machine.

The Steam game in question is Lords of the Fallen, which is currently the #9 best-selling game on Steam, and has been all weekend. To this end, it is behind only Schedule I, RuneScape: Dragonwilds, R.E.P.O, Baldur’s Gate 3, Last Epoch, The Elder Scrolls Online, Fallout 76, and Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, in that order. This list of course does not factor in free games for obvious reasons.

For those unfamiliar with the game, Lords of the Fallen is the successor of a 2014 game of the same name from developer Hexworks and publisher CI Games. Despite a middle-of-the-road critical reception, it did notably manage to sell over one million copies in its first 10 days on the market. As for the new 2.0 update, you can read about it here.

“Lords of the Fallen introduces an all-new, epic RPG adventure in a vast, interconnected world,” reads an official description of the action-RPG on Steam. “Aeons after his defeat by the hands of man, the demon God Adyr’s resurrection draws nigh. As a fabled Dark Crusader, journey through the realms of the living and the dead in this expansive RPG experience to overthrow Adyr once and for all. Featuring colossal boss battles, fast challenging combat, and deep, immersive storytelling.”

It is important to note that in addition to PC, Lords of the Fallen is also available on PS5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X where this new update is also available.

If you’re planning on playing the all but confirmed Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake, you may want to start clearing space right now. Bethesda is one of the most beloved RPG developers on the planet and many have longed to see some of their best games get re-released with better graphics, gameplay, and more. Unfortunately, Bethesda has really only given us re-releases of Skyrim for the last decade and a half. Games like Fallout 3 and Oblivion have been left in the dust, but that may not last much longer, much to the joy of fans everywhere. It seems like some of these classics are being remade for new hardware.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has been rumored for a remake or remaster since the start of 2025. The game was seemingly largely developed in secret outside of Bethesda by a studio named Virtuos, a company that does a lot of work in helping port games and offers additional support work on a lot of major titles. While it was nothing more than a rumor at the start of the year, recent leaks have offered full blown screenshots and artwork for the remaster. Needless to say, it’s pretty legit, but the question has been when it will be released. Well, all signs point to the Oblivion remake releasing as soon as this week!

Not much is known about how extensive this remake is outside of existing rumors, but the leaked screenshots definitely indicate a major visual overhaul that puts it on par with a modern day release. Similarly, it’s expected that the gameplay has been retooled to make it more in line with what gamers expect from a game today. It’s believed that Oblivion will be shadow dropped tomorrow, April 21st and will be available on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, with a Game Pass launch on supported platforms.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remaster Download Size Leaked

the elder scrolls iv: oblivion

While we don’t know pricing or exact release times, one detail has trickled out. Dataminers X0XLEAK and Kran on Twitter have discovered that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remaster/Remake will be a whopping 120 GBs. It appears this information was discovered in relation to the PC version of the game, so it’s possible the console versions will be different. However, with the PC version being this hefty, it wouldn’t be shocking if the console release takes up more than 100 GBs of storage. As of right now, none of this is confirmed, so you can still take it with a grain of salt. There’s also the chance of a separate day one update that increases the size, but that’s purely speculative.

Either way, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remaster or Remake is expected to include the game’s expansive DLC collection. This is a pretty big game in terms of content and it wouldn’t be surprising if Bethesda opens up the console versions to support mods like Fallout 4 and Starfield. So, you can expect to get a pretty meaty game if you’ve never had the opportunity to play it. If you are looking to play the original version of Oblivion, it’s still available on PC and Xbox through Game Pass. It’s a great RPG regardless of its age and worth experiencing. Hopefully, the remake does a good job of giving fans the experience that they have longed for.

There are rumors that a Fallout 3 remaster is also in the works, though nothing has been confirmed. This was leaked a couple of years ago and is supposedly still in development, but it’s possible that it won’t see the light of day for a while. Perhaps if this Oblivion remaster does well, we will get more of these types of re-releases for games like Fallout: New Vegas.

Are you going to pick up the Oblivion remaster/remake? Let me know in the comments!

A new Steam game released just the past few weeks has a 98 Steam User Review rating, which in turn gives it an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating, the highest rating a game can earn on Steam. This is thanks to a whopping 98 percent of the 18,062 user reviews of the game rating said game positively. To this end, it is one of the best Steam games of the year so far, and it is free to download and keep.

The free Steam game in question is ENA: Dream BBQ, an exploration adventure game from developer ENA Team and publisher Joel G. The game is the first game in a planned series, which is perhaps why it is free. It appears the strategy is to cultivate a very large, interested audience to sell subsequent sequels. That said, this is just speculation. What is not speculation is that the free game is better than most paid games released on Steam this year.

For those that may recognize the name ENA, but can’t quite remember why, you have probably seen it on YouTube. More specifically, it is a popular surrealist animated series on YouTube. To this end, the creator, the aforementioned Joel G, has over one million subscribers, and the most popular episode has 21 million views. This is to say, this is not a random Steam release garnering attention out of nowhere.

“ENA! We’ve got work to do, so quit daydreaming and pay attention! And don’t you DARE get involved in any predicaments along the way… got it,” reads an official description of the game on Steam. “Play as ENA as she searches for the Boss that everyone wants to be. Explore strange worlds, take on side gigs, and meet both sweet and sour characters along the journey.”

“I’ve known ENA series for a very long time and I have been waiting this game since it was announced,” reads one of the aforementioned Steam User Reviews. “I am really happy that it finally released! The story, the voice acting, the art style, they are all very perfect, also finding the secrets is really fun and some achievements are pretty challenging.”

Those on Steam Deck interested in checking out this popular new free game will be happy to know the Steam page lists it as “Verified” for Steam Deck. This means it has been tested by Valve, who can ensures it “works great with the built-in controls and display” of the Steam Deck.

A new update for Black Myth: Wukong has today gone live across PS5 and PC platforms. Despite still being hugely popular, support for Wukong has started to wane in recent months. Outside of a sizable new update that was released in February, developer Game Science hasn’t brought any additional content to Black Myth: Wukong this year. Fortunately, for those looking for any signs of life from Wukong, a new patch has now rolled out.

Downloadable now, this new Black Myth: Wukong update today isn’t a very extensive one. The patch mainly looks to implement Thai language support while also integrating NVIDIA DLSS 4.0 and Intel XeSS 2.0 for those on PC. Other than this, Game Science hasn’t done anything else new to Black Myth: Wukong outside of fixing a bug associated with Varied Combos.

Moving forward, it’s not known what the future might hold for Black Myth: Wukong. Despite being so successful, DLC hasn’t been announced for the game, and it seems unlikely that it will be. Those on Xbox platforms continue to hope that Wukong will come their way eventually, but this has yet to be confirmed as well.

Regardless of what might happen in the months ahead, if you want to look at the full patch notes for this new Black Myth: Wukong update, you can check them out below.

Black Myth: Wukong Update 1.0.16.18902 Patch Notes

  • Integrated Intel XeSS 2.0, with XeSS Frame Generation now available in Settings on supported hardware. (PC)

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the Destined One could not perform the second move of a Varied Combo if the first move of the Varied Combo was followed by performing Dodge/Perfect Dodge and casting Immobilize or certain Spirit Skills.

The Epic Games Store has a new free game today, April 17, and its a PC game from 2012. 13 years ago, games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Mass Effect 3, The Walking Dead, Far Cry 3, Borderlands 2, New Super Mario Bros. 2, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Dishonored, Persona 4 Golden, Journey, Fire Emblem Awakening, Guild Wars 2, Halo 4, Max Payne 3, and Hitman: Absolution all made headlines. What did not headline the year was Botanicula, despite quietly being one of the better games of the year, as evident by its 88 on Metacritic and 95% approval rating on Steam.

Those that have never checked out this 2012 gem can now do so free, on PC, courtesy of the Epic Games Store. As always, the free Epic Games Store game is available to keep once downloaded, but EGS users only have one week to claim the offer. More specifically, they only have until April 24.

Developed and published by Amanita Design, a Czech studio, Botanicula is a point-and-click adventure game with comedic elements. Typically, to get the 2012 game on Epic Games Store or Steam costs $15. For this, PC users get in return a game that is about three to five hours long, on average.

“Botanicula is a humor-filled adventure game created by the makers of award-winning Machinarium and Samorost series, studio Amanita Design and Czech band DVA,” reads an official pitch of the game on Steam. “Five friends, little tree creatures, set out on a journey to save the last seed from their home tree which is infested by evil parasites.”

“A short and silly story about some little guys. It has great sound design, the puzzles aren’t frustrating, and the art style is cute — it reminds me of Fran Bow in some ways, just more sweet and simple,” reads one of the aforementioned Steam user reviews.

It’s also worth noting that in addition to this week’s free game, there is also a new week-long offer involving free-to-play game Firestone Online Idle RPG. More specifically, those on Epic Games Store that log into the game between now and April 24 will receive an exclusive skin and $100 worth of in-game currency.

A Steam game from 2018 that is normally locked behind a purchase is free to download and keep, but PC users must take advantage of the offer before April 23, because after this the offer will expire and the Steam game will return its normal price point. Those on Steam Deck interested in the free PC game though should note that its Steam listing mentions Steam Deck compatibility is “Unknown.” To this end, it is possible the Steam game runs smoothly on the Steam Deck, but it is also possible it’s a nightmare on Steam Deck. It’s even possible it doesn’t run on Steam Deck at all. Unfortunately, Valve is also in the dark on the matter, hence why its Steam Deck compatibility is listed as unknown.

As for the free Steam game in question, it is a 2018 release from developer Mazen Games and publisher GrabTheGames called AtmaSphere. And according to Steam user reviews, the humble experience is worth checking out. Right now, the Steam game has 215 user reviews, 82 percent of which are positive. This gives the game a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, the second highest rating a PC game can earn on Steam.

“AtmaSphere is roll-a-ball game set in a medieval world which is full of dangerous traps and uncertain paths,” reads an official elevator pitch of the game for those unfamiliar with it. “Roll all you want, but don’t fall off! Collect all diamonds to impress Ballerina, and get Ballard safely to her house!”

There isn’t conclusive, reliable data on how long this free Steam game is, however, many of the user reviews range from two hours spent with the PC game to five hours long spent with it, so it seems PC users should expect something in this range. And this lines up with its usual asking price, which is only a few dollars.

“AtmaSphere is a simple ball-rolling game and it was fun,” reads one of the more popular of these user reviews. “The physics was realistic and I just loved moving the ball. Felt like a fun parkour game. Definitely did not expect moving a ball to be this much fun. Recommended!”

The Steam Deck is finally adding one 2024’s best Steam games to its library of verified games. The new addition is specifically set to come on April 28, almost a full year after the game was released on Steam, which itself followed a two-year stint in Steam Early Access that began in 2022. To this end, how many Steam users still play the game — an action RPG meets survival game — isn’t entirely clear, but with its addition to Steam Deck, it is certainly going to get a bump.

The Steam game in question is V Rising from developer Stunlock Studios, who also published the game. For those unfamiliar with the Swedish Studio, it is majority owned by Tencent, and previously published a trio of games dating back to 2011. V Rising is the game that put the studio on the map though.

Upon release last year, V Rising cultivated an 83 on Metacritic and a “Very Positive” Steam User Review score. This is thanks to an 89 percent approval rating across 92,811 user reviews.

“Experience a Vampire Survival Action RPG adventure like no other,” reads an official blurb about the game on Steam for those unfamiliar with it.

It is important to note that V Rising is currently playable on Steam Deck, but it is not verified. This means Steam Deck users could run into issues trying to play the game on Steam Deck, as Valve has not tested it to ensure it works fully and efficiently with the settings and display of the handheld machine.

Steam is giving out an acclaimed AAA video game right now, but the deal is only going to last for 48 hours in total. More so than any other video game marketplace, Steam is perhaps best known for its fantastic sales on its expansive library of games. While there are plenty of great deals happening at any given point for Steam games, occasionally, some titles on the platform will be given out for nothing whatsoever. Now, another such promotion along these lines has come about, and it has resulted in one of the best free games on Steam in quite a long time.

As of today, developer 4A Games has chosen to give out its popular shooter Metro 2033 Redux for free on Steam. Originally released in 2010, Metro 2033 came to Xbox 360 and PC platforms and quickly became a hit. It went on to spawn multiple sequels in Metro: Last Light and Metro: Exodus, which would arrive in the years to follow. In addition to these sequels, though, 4A Games also remastered the original entry in what would be dubbed Metro 2033 Redux. It’s this version of the game that is now available to snag on Steam for free. And best of all, it’s also verified for Steam Deck users.

Typically, Steam games that are free like this don’t last long, and this promo for Metro 2033 Redux is no different. This deal is only set to be active until 11:00am ET on Wednesday, April 16th. At that time, the game is expected to return to its normal retail value of $19.99. In short, you’ll want to act quickly if you want this Steam freebie for yourself.

To make this offer even better, 4A Games has chosen to heavily discount Metro: Last Light Redux on Steam as well. Even though it’s not completely free like Metro 2033 Redux, the follow-up installment is now retailing for a mere $2.99. So if you wanted to pick up the first two games in the Metro series on Steam, you could do so for less than a cup of coffee.

Metro 2033 Redux

Metro 2033 Redux is the definitive version of the cult classic Metro 2033, rebuilt in the latest and greatest iteration of the 4A Engine for Next Gen. Fans of the original game will find the unique world of Metro transformed with incredible lighting, physics and dynamic weather effects. Newcomers will get the chance to experience one of the finest story-driven shooters of all time; an epic adventure combining gripping survival horror, exploration and tactical combat and stealth.

All the gameplay improvements and features from the acclaimed sequel Metro: Last Light have been transferred to Metro 2033 Redux – superior AI, controls, animation, weapon handling and many more – to create a thrilling experience for newcomers and veterans alike. With two unique play-styles, and the legendary Ranger Mode included, Metro 2033 Redux offers hours of AAA gameplay.”

The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC has a new update alongside the release of The Last of Us Season 2 on HBO. Unfortunately, the update is not as interesting as the second season of the HBO show. Meanwhile, the update is limited to PC, which excludes PS5 owners. And it’s specifically a hotfix, which means it will not require a download from PC users before the game can be booted up.

As the developer, Nixxes Software, of the PC port notes over on social media platform X, the new patch, Patch 1.1, improves autosave functionality for players that use OneDrive or cloud services. In addition to this, the patch improves the way the game handles resizeable BAR, which can result in performance improvements when ReBAR is enabled.

Obviously, these are not game changing improvements, but for the select users they impact, the pair of improvements are nice upgrades. More than this, it’s also The Last of Us 2 fans have for now. There’s currently no word of any larger plans for the game to celebrate the second season of the show. If these plans existed, they probably would have been announced already, if not materialized alongside Season 2 of the HBO show. Because this didn’t happen, it is safe to assume Naughty Dog and PlayStation don’t have any meaningful updates planned for the 2020 game or its recent remaster.

“Patch 1.1 Hotfix is available now for The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC,” reads the X post in question. This hotfix improves autosave functionality for players that use OneDrive or similar cloud services. We’ve also improved the way the game handles Resizable BAR, which can result in performance improvements when ReBAR is enabled. Thank you all for playing The Last of Us Part II on PC and sharing your feedback with us!”

A new Steam sale has discounted an entire classic series from $85 to $1, thanks to a 99% discount that is available for a limited time. The new Steam deal specifically comes the way of Fanatical, which means it is both available for a limited time as well as supplies last. Details on the former are not disclosed, but supplies remain available and the deal thus is currently live. And as long as it is live, Steam users can score six games, plus two DLCs, for just $1.

More specifically, Steam users can currently nab — thanks to the aforementioned Steam deal on Fanatical — the Oddworld Complete Collection for just a single dollar. This collection includes Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysse, Oddworld: Abe’s Exodus, Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee, Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath, Oddworld New ‘n’ Tasty, Oddworld New ‘n’ Tasty, Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty – Alf’s Escape DLC, Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty – Scrub Abe Costume – DLC, and Oddworld: Soulstorm Enhanced Edition.

For those unfamiliar with the Oddworld series, it debuted back in 1997 via the aforementioned Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysse, one of 1997’s best games and a PS1 exclusive at launch. The following year, it got a sequel: Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus, another PS1 exclusive and just like its predecessor, one of the best games of its year, 1998. Then there were two Game Boy spin-offs, Oddworld Adventures and Oddworld Adventures 2, released in 1998 and 2000, respectively. Neither of these games are included because they never came to PC. That said, they are not part of the core series.

The next release in the series and the next core installment came in 2001, when Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee dropped. Unlike its predecessors, the third game was notably an Xbox exclusive when it released. It also wasn’t quite as well received, marking the first dip in quality from the series. Then came the fourth installment in 2005, another Xbox exclusive, Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath, which restored the series’ critical acclaim and brought it back to the Game of the Year conversation.

While spin-offs are not included in the package, Oddworld New ‘n’ Tasty is. This was the next release from the series, in 2014, however it is not part of the five-game core series, and this is because it is a remake of the first game. It notably brought the series back to its PlayStation exclusive roots, as it was a PS4 exclusive when it released.

All of this concluded in 2021, when the latest release in the series, Oddworld: Soulstorm released as a sequel to 2014’s Oddworld New ‘n’ Tasty. This was the fifth and final game in a planned five-game series. It was notably a PlayStation exclusive again, but unfortunately not a great final act from developer Oddworld Inhabitants, as it is the worst received game in the nostalgic series.

As for Steam Deck compatibility, it varies from game to game, with some games running better on the handheld Valve machine than others. Steam Deck users have been surprised with a major game they thought they’d never get. As Steam Deck users will know, there are four different Steam Deck compatibilities a Steam game can have: Unknown, Unsupported, Playable, and Verified. Most major and popular Steam games are either Playable or Verified, at least this is true of newer games. Sometimes Steam Deck users will run into Unknown or Unsupported when trying to download a new popular game, but it is not often this happens. That said, one of 2024’s biggest and best games remains Unsupported on Steam Deck. And this has not changed, but a new game from the same series, which isn’t even out yet, is already listed as Playable on Steam Deck.

More specifically, Steam Deck users may have noticed that Silent Hill 2 remains Unsupported on Steam Deck. Konami and Bloober Team released the horror game back on October 8, so there has been plenty of time for Steam Deck support to be added, yet it has not been. As a result, many have written off the possibility of the next Silent Hill game, Silent Hill F, of supporting the Steam Deck. That said, it’s going to be at least Playable at launch.

Silent Hill F doesn’t even have a release date, and right now there is no guarantee it will even release this year. Yet, recently its Steam listing was updated and Steam Deck compatibility changed to Playable. This is a good sign that it will end up being Verified on the Valve machine.

So, what gives? How has Silent Hill F been made playable on Steam Deck, when it doesn’t even have a release date, but it’s been six months since the release of Silent Hill 2 and it is still Unsupported on Steam Deck? Well, Konami publishes both games but this is clearly not a problem with it. This is clearly a developer problem. Where Bloober Team made Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill F is being made by Neobards Entertainment. It was unclear who was to blame for the Silent Hill 2 Steam Deck situation, but this development now seems to confirm Bloober Team is to blame.

The whole situation with Silent Hill on Steam Deck remains a little bizarre, but this is good news for owners of the handheld. Many assumed Silent Hill F would follow in the footsteps of Silent Hill 2 when it came to Steam Deck compatibility, but that is clearly not going to be the case. Whether it will be Verified though, remains to be seen.

Emma Frost in Marvel Rivals

After much anticipation, Marvel Rivals Season 2 is finally here! Gamers were able to download the new update this morning, gaining access to Emma Frost, the new Battle Pass, and more. Many players are already enjoying the new content, but one particular feature doesn’t seem to be working quite as intended. For gamers on PC, the newly introduced Switch Shader Compilation mode is proving hard to find. After the update, the PC client isn’t opening as it should, instead skipping right to the game. While that might sound like a good thing, it bypasses the option to adjust settings like the Switch Shader Compilation mode.

Since the Season 2 update went live this morning, PC players have been reporting issues with getting the launcher to appear before startup in Marvel Rivals. Whether intentional or not, it seems that the Season 2 update has resulted in bypassing the launcher when playing Marvel Rivals on PC. Although this does make it easier to jump right into playing as Emma Frost for the first time or earning that new free Wanda skin, it does pose a pretty big issue. Because the new feature intended to increase FPS can only be turned on from the client, gamers are struggling to utilize this new update when the client is no longer popping up.

Several posts like the one above have been popping up in the r/Marvel Rivals subreddit since the new update went live this morning. Given how the change directly interferes with an intended upgrade for Marvel Rivals, it’s quite possible that we will see a fix for this newly introduced issue soon. However, some gamers have found a potential workaround to be able to access the Marvel Rivals launcher on PC for now.

How to Stop Marvel Rivals Bypassing Launcher So You Can Turn ON Switch Shader Mode

As of now, NetEase has not formally addressed player concerns about the launcher getting bypassed. That said, Season 2 has only just begun, and it’s likely that we’ll see another patch soon to address the inevitable bugs that the update has introduced. Potentially, a fix for issues with the launcher not showing up could be included. Until then, there is one possible workaround that many gamers have shared in the r/Marvel Rivals subreddit.

According to some Marvel Rivals fans, gamers can get the game launcher to show up before startup by verifying the game files. You can do this from your Game Library by right-clicking on the game, then heading into the properties menu. From there, select “Local Files” and then “Verify integrity of game files.” This will prompt Steam to confirm that all files have been installed correctly.

Once the process completes, many fans report that the launcher will pop up as normal before Marvel Rivals starts, letting you enable Switch Shader Compilation mode. Bypassing the launcher before startup is one of a few bugs that appear to have arrived with the Season 2 update this morning. Hopefully, the biggest issues will be addressed with a hotfix soon. Until then, this workaround may help you improve FPS with the new experimental feature.

The Walking Dead fans can currently score an official Walking Dead video game for free, courtesy of the Epic Games Store. The offer doesn’t come the way of the PC version of the digital storefront, but the mobile version, where the game in question is currently free to download and keep forever between now and April 17. Unfortunately, while the Epic Games Store Mobile app is available on Android globally, iOS users will find it unavailable outside of Europe.

More specifically, between now and April 17, Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead is completely free to download on the mobile version of the Epic Games Store. For those unfamiliar with the name, it is a 2020 release from developer ClockStone and publisher Headup Games. As the name suggests, it is an installment in the Bridge Constructor series that licenses out The Walking Dead IP.

“Experience the fun of killing Walkers using the power of your brain,” reads an official description of the game for those unfamiliar with it. “Prepare for the ultimate mashup experience! Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead combines the legendary and challenging puzzle gameplay of Bridge Constructor with the post-apocalyptic zombie universe of AMC’s The Walking Dead.”

The game’s official description continues: “Join a group of survivors as they fight against hordes of undead walkers and a hostile human community. Build bridges and other constructions through bleak landscapes and ruined structures. Team up with fan-favorite characters like Daryl, Michonne and Eugene, and create safe passage for iconic vehicles from the series. Use movable level objects, explosives and baits to your advantage as you lure walkers into lethal traps and guide your survivors to safety. Enjoy the physics-based frenzy and ragdoll animations as walkers succumb to the forces of gravity.”

Those that decide to take advantage of this Epic Games Store offer should expect about 9 to 11 hours from Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead, though completionists will need closer to 15 hours with TWD game.

As for the game’s quality, its Metacritic score is 72. Meanwhile, on the user review front, it has a 4/5 on Epic Games Store and a 73% score on Steam. In other words, the consensus seems to be it is decent, but certainly not great.

Epic Games Store, as it is every Thursday, has been updated with a new free offer for PC users. This week, the EGS offer includes three free games, though two come with a caveat. The third, however, is an underrated 2019 release and arguably one of the better free Epic Games Store games of 2025, so far. This is partially because the Epic Games Store free games four months into the year have been mostly disappointing.

The highlight of the Epic Games Store free games offer this week is River City Girls from Arc System Works and WayForward. The 2019 release is far from the most popular 2019 game, but it was a bit of a cult hit for fans of old-school beat ’em ups, and especially for fans of the classic video game series, Kunio-kun, which it is a spin-off of. Typically, those interested in owning the game on PC need to fork over $30 for it.

“There’s trouble once again on the mean streets of River City, but this time the boys are in over their heads,” reads an official blurb about the game for those unfamiliar with it. “In this all-new entry in the legendary beat-’em-up series, hot-blooded heroes Kunio and Riki have been captured, leaving it to their hard-hitting girlfriends, Kyoko and Misako, to serve up some payback. As you punch and kick your way across town – either solo or with a friend in local co-op – you’ll gain new skills, chow down on power-ups, wield an assortment of weapons, and unleash an arsenal of combos, throws, and special attacks that will leave the bad guys crying for mama – all in outrageous 16-bit style! The awesome action is punctuated by manga story panels, anime cutscenes, and an epic synth-pop soundtrack. It’s an old-school rumble for a new generation!”

In addition to River City girls, Arcadegeddon and 5,000 in-game Arcoins are available this week on the Epic Games Store. The former is free-to-play, but the latter offers $20 of value according to the EGS.

Continuing the trend of free-to-play games being advertised as weekly free games, this week’s offer also includes also includes Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms. More specifically, for one week those that log into the game via the Epic Games Store will receive Astarion’s Champions of Renown Pack for free. According to EGS, this pack offers $100 in value. Altogether, this week’s Epic Games Store offers $30 in free games, and $150 total in value.
